The breathalyzer fulfills its task, but I have some reservations about its accuracy. The device, being new, should be properly calibrated. According to the recommendations, at least three tests should be performed and (for safety) you should rely on the highest reading. Unfortunately, the discrepancies between results can reach as much as 0.3‰, which is a significant value under Polish law. For example, the first test shows about 0.3‰, the second already shows 0.0, and the third about 0.25‰. I definitely do not recommend it to professional drivers, as their safety depends on the accuracy of the measurement and there is a risk of losing their driver's license. It works better in less formal situations, for example after a spring barbecue or May picnic, if you don't need a 0.0‰ result. Tip: with a full battery, it shows higher values, and when the battery is almost depleted, it may be less accurate. I also recommend holding your breath for a few seconds before the test so the air has time to become saturated with alcohol.
A user-friendly breathalyzer featuring an advanced, accurate electrochemical sensor, with a measurement range of 0 ‰ to 2 ‰, precise to thousandths of a promille.
Calibration is needed every 6 months or 400 measurements. The LED display is easy to read, facilitating effortless viewing of test results.
The breathalyzer is operated using a single button. The sensor's self-monitoring function alerts you to low battery, sensor issues, and irregular airflow.
Included in the kit:
- GTX Smart breathalyzer,
- 2 x AAA battery,
- 2 x mouthpiece,
- instruction manual.
