Rite in the Rain

Rite in the Rain is an American brand specializing in the production of notebooks and writing accessories resistant to harsh weather conditions. Its products allow for easy note-taking even during rain, snow, or in humid environments, which is why they are popular among travelers, field services, and outdoor enthusiasts.

The Origin and Beginnings of the Brand

The beginnings of Rite in the Rain date back to 1916, when Jerry Darling, working in the timber industry in Washington State, saw the need to create a durable material for recording data in difficult weather conditions. The inspiration was the need to record lumber measurements in the rainy climate of the Pacific Northwest Coast of the USA. The brand started as a small family business that quickly gained recognition among foresters and other professionals working in the field.

Development and Innovations

Since its inception, Rite in the Rain has been developing waterproof paper technology while introducing more environmentally friendly production methods. The company uses renewable resources, recycling, and minimizes harmful emissions. The brand's offerings have gained recognition not only among foresters but also among military personnel, field scientists, travelers, and rescuers—all those who need durable notebooks and writing accessories in harsh conditions.
