MultiCam is an advanced camouflage design created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. The aim was to develop a versatile camouflage pattern effective across various terrains and shifting environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern features seven colors, forming seamless transitions between green, brown, and beige hues. Consequently, it dynamically blends with the environment, adopting green tones in forested regions or browns and beiges in desert landscapes. In Central and Eastern Europe, it is particularly effective during autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has earned global acclaim and is utilized by numerous military forces and special units. In 2010, the pattern was officially adopted by the US Army as the camouflage for soldiers in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). It is also available to civilians, making it a favored choice among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
