I tested them during a 20 km march at -8 degrees, wearing MON summer boots and Woolpower 600 socks – my feet stayed dry, without abrasions, and I felt warm during both walking and breaks (a big advantage of the WP 600 socks too). Moisture was well managed. At the end of the march, I felt that the inside of the shoe became damp, and the sock maybe slightly so too, because I felt a chill on one of my big toes. Maybe in other shoes the end result would be better, so my overall rating is good. I plan to test other options as well.
