Rain jacket in black made of three-layer GORE-TEX laminate with an ePTFE membrane, providing waterproofness, breathability, and protection against wind. It features an adjustable hood with the Hood/Harness system, Air/Pac inserts that improve air circulation and distribute the weight of accouterment, as well as adjustable cuffs. The side zippers serve as ventilation openings and make it easier to access equipment worn under the jacket, while the flaps covering the main zipper protect against moisture and wind. The jacket also has 4 pockets and velcro panels on the sleeves for attaching patches and emblems.
Gore-Tex laminate, ePTFE membrane
The model is made of durable three-layer Gore-Tex laminate. The material structure provides mechanical elasticity in two directions (2-way stretch), which increases freedom of movement and improves wearing comfort.
The outer polyamide layer is coated with a durable hydrophobic DWR coating. It is responsible for water beading and running off the material surface, limiting fabric soak-through and helping maintain breathability during rainfall. The middle layer is an ePTFE membrane. Its microporous structure limits water penetration from the outside while allowing water vapor to escape at the same time. The inner polyamide layer protects the membrane against abrasion and wear, and also creates a smooth surface on the body side and against the clothing layers worn underneath.
Adjustable cuffs, ventilation openings
The Monsoon X model fastens with a YKK zipper. Wide flaps covering the zipper on both sides protect against wind and moisture. Adjustable velcro cuffs provide a better fit around the wrists. Velcro panels placed on the upper part of the sleeves allow for attaching any patches or emblems, such as a national flag, unit insignia, or so-called Morale Patches, giving the jacket an individual character.
The zippers placed on the sides create ventilation openings when unzipped and make it easier to access accouterment carried under the jacket, for example on a belt. Snaps at the bottom protect against accidental unfastening.
Deep hood, air/pac inserts
The jacket is equipped with a deep, adjustable hood stowed inside the collar. The Hood/Harness system used in the hood makes it follow head movement regardless of its position, which increases wearing comfort and also protects against the hood being blown off by strong gusts of wind.
Removable Air/Pac inserts are placed on the shoulders to improve air circulation and evenly distribute the weight of a backpack or plate carrier across the shoulders.

Gore-Tex is a thin membrane made of polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), which features a microporous structure. Its structure makes it highly water- and wind-resistant, as well as breathable. The membrane's pores are 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapor, which allows it to efficiently wick moisture to the outside. Minimizes the movement of the hood during sudden movements, wind or intense physical activity, prevents the hood from obstructing the field of vision. Allows the hood to be conveniently folded down to form a collar.
