TYT Radio TH-UV98 PMR 3200 USB-C mAh

TH-UV98 is a dual-band handheld radio transceiver with a maximum power output of 10 watts. It features a DMTF keypad, a dual LCD display with white backlight, a built-in flashlight, and FM radio.

The Dual Watch function allows you to monitor two channels at the same time, prioritizing the frequency where an incoming call appears. The TH-UV98 radio transceiver is equipped with CTCSS and DCS and a simple scrambler for encryption.

The radio transceiver includes a PTT - push-to-talk button. It has a Kenwood-type connector that allows connection of a headset with microphone, dedicated speaker mics, or shooting hearing protectors. The antenna connector used follows the SMA-M standard. The radio transceiver can be programmed from the keypad or from a computer using a USB cable (not included in the set). The TH-UV98 model is compatible with the cable used for Baofeng UV-5R and Baofeng UV-82 radios. The software includes a range of functions that make grouping and identification easier. The VOX function allows voice-activated transmission without the need to press the PTT button.

The model is equipped with FM radio. Even with FM radio active, TH-UV98 will still monitor channels, and FM is interrupted when an incoming call is received.
