Great shorts. Maybe not the cheapest, but after great experiences with the long version, I decided to also buy the short ones and it was definitely worth it.
Texar Elite Pro Rip-Stop Shorts - Coyote
Tactical shorts in Coyote color, a shortened version of the Elite Pro model. With their numerous pockets and strategic placement, they excel in both urban settings and outdoor adventures. They offer a seamless blend of military-inspired functionality with versatile everyday style.
PolliCotton fabric construction reinforced with Rip-Stop, impregnated
The shorts are constructed from durable PoliCotton Rip-Stop fabric, with a weight of 225 g/m2 and a blend of spandex (60% cotton, 36% polyester, 4% spandex). This fabric resists abrasions and tears while being lighter and allowing for quicker drying compared to 100% cotton. Moreover, a Teflon coating enhances their resistance to dirt, helps prevent permanent stains, and limits moisture penetration.
11 practical pockets
The Elite Pro model features 11 utility pockets:
- two traditional hip pockets with reinforced seams
- six located on the thighs: two cargo pockets with hook-and-loop fasteners, two narrow ones with zippers, and a pair of open pockets
- two back pockets secured with hook-and-loop closures
- one internal pocket situated at the groin level
wide belt loops, waist adjustment, loops
A wide hook-and-loop fastener (8 cm) replaces a traditional button, enabling precise waist adjustment. The fit to the body is enhanced by an elastic band integrated into the waistband. Two front belt loops feature additional loops, perfect for attaching small accessories like a carabiner.
YKK zippers
The Elite Pro model incorporates zippers from YKK – a renowned Japanese manufacturer, known for exceptional quality and dependability.

Very comfortable and practical, made of good quality material, and the elastic bands at the waist make it easy to fit. I have several pairs in different colors and I am very satisfied. I definitely recommend them.

Great shorts with an interesting design, they have plenty of pockets and are made of durable ripstop material, which ensures their longevity. Very comfortable and functional, at this price it's a perfect choice for me.

I decided to write a review after three seasons of intensive use. Pros: the shorts fit great, have a slim cut, provide full freedom of movement, nothing stretches or breaks. Compared to them, Helikon UTS shorts seem less fitted, and these are the nicest in my closet. The price is attractive, and XL fits perfectly for 184 cm/100 kg. Cons: the workmanship quality is worse than Helikon, a lot of hanging threads, crooked stitching, carabiners broke off immediately, I had to sew the pockets because they ripped, but after repairs, they are indestructible. The material seems worse than Helikon, but it's still durable and dirt-resistant. Another minus is the outer cargo pockets, which are very small. Despite the great cut, I only have these and the WZ10 from Texar—it's better to pay extra for UTS.

I bought Texar Elite Pro RipStop Coyote shorts. Overall, I'm satisfied with them, I'd rate them 7/10. I like the Texar brand—they use good materials and sew well, but sometimes their products don't fully meet expectations. For these shorts: 1) when you sit down, the back sticks out and your underwear shows; 2) the zippers on the front pockets are mostly decorative and not very roomy—it's hard to fit anything in them. The rest of the shorts' features are at a very high level.

Unusual sizing – I have a 99 cm waist, the ordered XL was very loose, and size L turned out a bit tight in the thighs. The material seems solid, but a minus for inaccurately marked sizes.
-
They are well made and have an interesting cut. In the waist, they are one size smaller compared to Helikon.
-
A successful purchase, I highly recommend it with a clear conscience!
-
Well-made pants crafted from durable material. They have many functional pockets. I have one comment – the zippered pockets could be a bit bigger.
-
Comfortable fit and practical, though not very spacious, pockets.
-
Very good material, size M fits perfectly. I highly recommend it.
-
The shorts are well made. However, I recommend checking the actual measurements before purchase, because the size may differ from the corresponding model with long legs.
-
I highly recommend them, they are comfortable, practical, and pleasant to wear. The only thing is there could be a greater variety of colors available.
-
They are very comfortable and practical.

I returned the shorts because the seam on the inside of the waistband irritated me. If I buy shorts, it's only Helikon. After this unsuccessful attempt, I already have two pairs from that brand.
