Texar ECWCS Conger Jacket - Olive

I'm not sure if the waterproofing really reaches level 5000, but quick drying is a plus. Even so, I wouldn't recommend it at this price. The jacket offers good wind protection, but it feels more like a life jacket and unfortunately, it's cold.

Great jacket, it looks like the resort models made from ceratex. Much better materials were used than in classic ceratex resort jackets. Be careful with the size – I had to exchange L for XL.

Good evening! I bought this model of jacket twice – the first time I chose the wrong size, despite checking opinions and sizing recommendations. I am 190 cm tall, have a 116 cm chest and weigh 101 kg – 3XL was too small, especially with an extra layer underneath. Only the 4XL size turned out to be right – then the jacket is comfortable and does not restrict movement. I chose the Camo PL version, although I usually prefer olive color; however, the camouflage works great in the forest. If you want a quick size exchange, it's better to return the product and order a new one – exchanging the product can take up to two weeks. The jacket is not like typical waterproof cellophane, the material is pleasant and durable. I made a good choice! I recommend both the store and the Texar Conger jacket! Best regards!

This is already my second review, I hope this one gets accepted. The jacket is solid and has good ventilation—which is important for such robust clothing. The color could be a bit darker, but that's a matter of taste. You can walk through thickets without worry, the jacket definitely won't get damaged. The sizing listed in the store is 140 cm in the chest, on the label 130 cm – that's a discrepancy. If you don't have sizing issues, I definitely recommend it.

Combined with the Husky fleece, the jacket works even on chilly days. The sizing is unusual—you need to order a size up. At first, it is a bit stiff, but over time it becomes more comfortable.

Solidly made jacket, fully resistant to water and wind. The hood is indeed quite spacious, but thanks to the drawstrings you can adjust it perfectly and appreciate it during heavy rain. The jacket is a bit stiff, reminiscent of a tarpaulin or oilcloth – that's a trade-off for waterproofness. The material is pleasant, similar to cotton. Almost no rustling, barely noticeable. Perfect for rain and wind; you don’t have to worry about the weather. However, it’s not suitable for winter as it has no own insulation. I bought the dedicated fleece for it, but it was too tight in the chest so I returned it. I recommend it for all seasons except winter.
