Tatonka Folder RFID Block Travel Wallet - Black

Compact and practical black wallet, secured with a Velcro closure. Made of durable polyester material reTex 6.6 Eco, which is partially recycled. The RFID protection technology used effectively protects proximity cards from unauthorized reading and data theft.

Durable fabric, DWR coating

The wallet uses reTex 6.6 Eco fabric, made from 40% recycled materials. The durable polyester fabric features high abrasion resistance, and the PU coating effectively protects against moisture penetration. In addition, the fabric is free of harmful PFC/PFAS substances.

Practical compartments and pockets

The wallet is fastened with Velcro, which guarantees quick access to the interior and protects against uncontrolled opening. Inside there is a capacious bill compartment with an additional zipper, three slots for payment cards, a transparent document pocket and a zippered coin pocket.

Cryptalloy film

Within the wallet's construction, the internal Cryptalloy film insert efficiently blocks radio waves, stopping any unauthorized scanning of bank card data and identification documents. This film adheres to European security standards, ensuring protection against digital theft.

    I’m evaluating this wallet against my current model and three others that I bought to choose the best one (Helikon-Tex EDC Large, Wisport Lizard, Fjallraven Zip Wallet). PROS: It has a double banknote compartment, including one hidden zippered section. The build quality, appearance, and sturdy hook-and-loop closure that holds well are all definite positives. CONS: The wallet is fairly thick even when empty — thicker than the other models. After putting in 10 banknotes, 4 cards, a driver’s license, a vehicle registration certificate, and a ticket, it could no longer be fastened because the hook-and-loop closure was too short. The rounded corners mean that documents such as the vehicle registration certificate do not fit all the way in. Additionally, one of the card pockets, the one placed deepest in the middle section, has a seam inside, which causes the card to stop halfway and requires a bit of wiggling to get it all the way in. I haven’t yet had the opportunity to test how the RFID works. Honestly, this was the wallet I had the highest hopes for, and in the end, it disappointed me the most.
