Tasmanian Tiger Modular Pack Plus Backpack 45+5 l - Coyote Brown

The Coyote Brown backpack with a capacity of 45 liters is made of abrasion- and tear-resistant Cordura 700D. The extended collar allows the backpack capacity to be increased by up to 5 liters. The modular interior with a MOLLE panel and velcro allows for free organization and customization of equipment.

durable cordura 700d, dwr coating

The backpack is made of abrasion-resistant Cordura 700D. The material performs well under intensive use, and its structure reduces the risk of mechanical damage.

The surface is covered with a hydrophobic DWR finish free from PFC and PFAS. The coating limits moisture absorption and provides basic protection against light rain.

molle-compatible, velcro panels

The side panels of the backpack are equipped with a laser-cut MOLLE system, which allows for attaching, for example, additional pouches. On the front there are two velcro panels intended for attaching patches, emblems, and identification markings. The top handle allows the backpack to be carried comfortably in the hand.

freely configurable interior, radio antenna port

The backpack is equipped with a spacious main compartment accessed by a zipper. The compartment is covered by a flap fastened with 4 fastex buckles and adjustable-length straps. On the front there is a detachable pocket that can serve as a helmet carrier. In the upper part, on the flap, there is a practical pocket for small accessories.

The backpack comes with three internal organizers fastened with two-way zippers: two smaller mesh ones and one larger one made of soft material. Their quick installation in any configuration is enabled by velcro panels lining the inside of the backpack. Elastic loops are also placed inside the main compartment.

The backpack is equipped with internal compression straps located on the sides of the compartment and a radio antenna port.

V2 Plus carry system

The carry system consists of adjustable shoulder straps with soft edging that reduces the risk of shoulder chafing. The shoulder straps are wide and contoured so that the weight is distributed evenly across the shoulders. Adjustment of the V2 Plus carry system allows the back length to be matched to the user's height by changing the position of the upper part of the system and attaching it higher or lower to the loops on the back of the backpack.

The hip belt is detachable and can be used as a wide tactical belt (modular) with MOLLE/PALS system webbing.

Velcro feature
Velcro

The velcro panel is an area with sewn-on Velcro tape that allows easy attachment of various additional items, such as patches or pockets.

Cordura feature
Cordura

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.

DWR feature
DWR

DWR (Durable Water Repellency) is a durable waterproofing treatment that increases the surface tension of water and creates a hydrophobic coating on materials. It protects the material from rapid soaking, improves drying, provides stain resistance and increases breathability.

System MOLLE feature
System MOLLE

MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.

PALS system feature
PALS system

PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.

Laser Cut System feature
Laser Cut System

LCS (Laser Cut System) is a new version of the assembly used in the MOLLE system, where instead of traditional tapes, laser-cut holes are used directly in the material. The system is much lighter than standard sewn-on PALS tapes and guarantees better camouflage. The holes are hemmed with thread to prevent fuzzing and ripping, or, as in the case of Cordura, the laser-cut edges are fused.

V2 Plus feature
V2 Plus
V2 Plus carrying system is a proprietary design by Tasmanian Tiger. It is used in backpacks designed to carry medium and heavy loads. It allows for extensive adjustment of the back length, which enables the backpack to be precisely adjusted to the user's height and ensures optimal weight distribution. The design is based on a stable internal frame that supports the transfer of load from the shoulders to the hips, ergonomic shoulder straps with smooth adjustment, an adjustable chest strap, and a removable, wide hip belt that increases comfort during long walks.

The backpack is worth its price. Made of high-quality materials, with a well-thought-out design and very careful finishing. The carrying system provides exceptional comfort and the possibility of full individual adjustment. The outer material is durable and easy to keep clean and well-maintained.

I give 5 stars, although I do have some reservations. Overall, the backpack is very good. It has an excellent carrying system and hip belt. The design allows you to conveniently store items under the removable top flap (with the option to reduce the backpack's size) and under the front, also detachable, flap. The downside is the lack of straps for attaching gear on the sides or under the backpack.
