Tasmanian Tiger Modular Daypack XL IRR Backpack 23 l - Stone Grey Olive

A 23 l backpack in Stone Grey Olive, designed for evacuation operations, survival, EDC, and as a medical backpack. Made from durable Cordura 700D with a hydrophobic DWR coating. The spacious compartment and practical pockets improve equipment organization, while the adjustable carry system allows the backpack to be fitted to the user's build.

Cordura 700D, DWR coating

The backpack is made from Cordura 700D, distinguished by high resistance to abrasion, tearing, and mechanical damage. The material performs well during intensive use and frequent contact with the ground and equipment. The outer layer is covered with a hydrophobic PFC/PFAS-free DWR coating that limits moisture absorption.

The materials, webbing, Velcro elements, and buckles used have IRR properties that reduce the reflection of infrared radiation and meet the requirements of Bundeswehr standards TL 8305-0278 and TL 8305-0281 for the reflectance coefficient in the 650–1250 nm range.

Spacious compartment, practical pocket

The model is equipped with a roomy main compartment, accessed via a two-way zipper. Straps at the ends allow smooth operation even while wearing gloves. Inside the main compartment are D-rings, a Laser Cut panel, and velco (velcro), allowing additional organizers to be attached. The interior is also adapted for safely carrying a laptop up to 15.4" in size. On the front wall of the compartment there is a roomy open pocket. There is also an additional front pocket on the front.

The backpack is adapted for use with a hydration system. The water tank can be placed in the main compartment, and the tube can be routed outside, making hydration easier while on the move.

Adjustable carry system

The Thermo Mold Carrying System is based on a contoured, thermoformed back panel that conforms to the shape of the back and helps stabilize the backpack while on the move. The design creates space between the back and the main compartment, supporting airflow and reducing the buildup of heat and moisture. The adjustable sternum strap allows both height and width adjustment, improving load stability during movement and field activity. The carry handle makes the backpack easier to carry and lift.

MOLLE/PALS system, compression straps

The front features laser-cut openings in the MOLLE/PALS standard, allowing additional pockets, pouches, and other compatible gear to be mounted. The front Velcro panel allows patches such as a national flag, unit insignia, or Morale Patch to be attached.

The backpack is equipped with compression straps that allow its volume to be reduced depending on the amount of gear being carried. When loosened, they can be used for stabilizing lightweight gear carried on the outside. The front-mounted buckles allow quick release and tension adjustment.

Velcro

The velcro panel is an area with sewn-on Velcro tape that allows easy attachment of various additional items, such as patches or pockets.

Cordura feature
Cordura

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.

DWR feature
DWR

DWR (Durable Water Repellency) is a durable waterproofing treatment that increases the surface tension of water and creates a hydrophobic coating on materials. It protects the material from rapid soaking, improves drying, provides stain resistance and increases breathability.

System MOLLE feature
System MOLLE

MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.

PALS system feature
PALS system

PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.

Laser Cut System feature
Laser Cut System

LCS (Laser Cut System) is a new version of the assembly used in the MOLLE system, where instead of traditional tapes, laser-cut holes are used directly in the material. The system is much lighter than standard sewn-on PALS tapes and guarantees better camouflage. The holes are hemmed with thread to prevent fuzzing and ripping, or, as in the case of Cordura, the laser-cut edges are fused.
