Great addition to the scoop when searching in water. The extension is made of stainless steel. It may be a bit too heavy for the beach, but it works flawlessly in the water. Everyone should consider for themselves whether it will meet their expectations.

It's an essential part of the scoop set – solidly made and fits comfortably in the hand thanks to the contoured plastic handle. For anyone planning to search with a metal detector by the lake or on the beach, it's a must-have.

The handle is sturdy, though heavy. If you want to use it with one hand, it's best to do so underwater; otherwise, it's better to mount an additional handle for the other hand. The pin does not fully latch onto the scoop and it is not made of stainless steel, so I replaced it with a stainless wing screw.
