I think Sordin have done a really bad job at marketing these headphones there are hardly any real world reviews online and I didn't even know they existed until the start of this year and normally I all over new tech as soon as I hear about it. I think these released at the start of last year. It's possible that the price is putting people off they are extremely expensive and I think a bit overpriced for what they are. The headphones come in a fairly plain box and inside you will find a no-brand AA battery and the headset with some instructions. I think for the price Sordin should at least include their rechargeable battery and the charger for it and the fact they didn't seems very penny pitchy to me. So now I am done with the negatives what are the positives? my previous ear pro was a Supreme Pro-X and the T2's are a big improvement over those. The sound is a lot more crisp and natural and the multiple modes tactical, comfort, dual and ambient off are all useful for various reasons. I have replaced the memory foam pads with the gel pads as I did find the the memory foam slightly uncomfortable over long durations. The headband adjustments are done by loosening four friction screws rather than having the adjustments in the headband. This is a much better system because it makes the headband smoother and also it means that you can't accidently adjust the headband which was something I was doing a lot on my Supreme Pro-X. Another bonus over the previous generation is the battery compartment. It was difficult to get the two AAA batteries out of the previous generation but now it's so much easier. It's a simple twist cap with a single AA battery which will fall out as soon as its opened so no smacking the headphone to get the battery out anymore. The build quality is excellent and I have used them in heavy rain and they still work so I guess they are water resistant / proof also.
Sordin Supreme T2 Leather Active Hearing Protectors - Black
Professional active hearing protectors designed for uniformed services, hunters, and sport shooters. They are perfect for both the battlefield and the shooting range. Their low-profile design and high-quality materials ensure comfort even during prolonged use. In accordance with the Single Number Rating (SNR) applicable in Europe, which is used to determine the expected sound attenuation, the protectors provide attenuation at a level of SNR 29 dB.
SordinHEAR2 sound system, two microphones
The SordinHEAR2 sound system provides excellent sound quality and four audio profiles (Tactical, Dual, Comfort, and Ambient off). Two waterproof omnidirectional microphones with high frequency effectively capture ambient sounds and then transmit them to the built-in speakers. Harmful sounds are limited to a safe level of 82 dB, while low sounds are amplified.
Contoured headband, Step-by-step adjustment system, large buttons
The contoured headband is made of plastic and steel and covered with high-quality black natural leather. The step-by-step adjustment system allows the protectors to be adjusted to the user's preferences, and the folding design facilitates transport and storage. The ear pads are equipped with comfortable cushions made of memory foam, which significantly increases comfort of use. Thanks to large and easily accessible function buttons, the headphones can be operated with tactical gloves or in difficult weather conditions. They are suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters.
Battery power supply, low battery indicator, automatic shut-off
Sordin Supreme T2 is powered by an AA battery or a Sordin Power 14500 rechargeable battery, which provides up to 400 hours of operation. Replacing the battery requires only unscrewing the cover on the side of one of the ear cups. The device is equipped with a low battery warning system (when the battery level allows for approx. 40 hours of operation) and an automatic shut-off function after 4 hours of inactivity.
two AUX audio inputs
The protectors are equipped with two 3.5 mm AUX audio inputs allowing them to be connected to devices such as a radio or mobile phone.
Standards and certifications
The Sordin Supreme T2 Leather model complies with the following standards:
- SNR 29 dB - attenuation value in accordance with the European SNR (Single Number Rating) index, which specifies the expected noise reduction level in a typical working environment.
- IP68 - battery compartment and microphone protection rating. Provides complete protection against dust and resistance to immersion in water up to 2 m for 30 minutes.
- EN 352-1:2020 - specifies requirements for ear protectors worn on the ears, regardless of electronic functions. Confirms the noise reduction effectiveness of passive and active ear muffs.
- EN 352-4:2020 - applies to models with a sound level-dependent function. Ensures that microphones and electronics amplify quiet sounds while attenuating dangerous sounds.
- EN 352-6:2020 - standard for protectors with audio input. Ensures that sound from external sources (e.g., telephone, radio) does not exceed safe levels.
- MIL-STD 810 - American military standard specifying test procedures to verify the resistance of equipment to extreme environmental conditions such as vibration, shock, humidity, dust, frost, and high temperatures.
- MIL-STD-461 - American military standard specifying electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements for electronic devices, i.e. their resistance to electromagnetic interference and emission of such interference.
- ANSI S3.19-1974 - specifies a laboratory method for measuring the noise attenuation of hearing protectors such as ear muffs and ear plugs.
- RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) - a product free of hazardous substances such as lead, cadmium, and mercury.
- WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) - compliance with EU regulations on the disposal and recycling of electronic equipment.

MIL-STD-810F standard specifies test requirements for military equipment, including metal detectors, to ensure their reliability in extreme environmental conditions. Tests include resistance to extreme temperatures, humidity, shock and vibration, among others. Metal detectors that meet this standard are guaranteed to work in harsh operating environments.
RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) certification means that the device complies with the European Union directive limiting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The device contains no or only trace amounts of six substances: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). RoHS certification aims to reduce the impact of these substances on human health and the environment.
