Silva Expedition 4 Militaire map compass is precise, lightweight, and exceptionally durable. It features photoluminescent markings on the dial, needle, and plate, enabling use both day and night.
Constructed from lightweight and sturdy plastic, it includes a rotating bezel with a graduated scale. The compass is coated with non-slip DryFlex rubber, ensuring usability in diverse weather conditions.
The compass is equipped with an angle scale in degrees (0–360) and an artillery scale of 64(00) Strich, enabling precise determination of directions in accordance with military standards.
The transparent base incorporates two rulers and three scales: 1:25:000, 1:40:000, 1:50,000. It also includes a magnifying glass to simplify map reading. Additionally, a lanyard is attached, allowing it to be worn around the neck.
