A precise compass from a reputable manufacturer. After negative experiences with cheaper models, I know that it's not worth saving money on compasses. This model is solid and reliable equipment.

Silva 16DCL-6400/360 Map Compass
Advanced map compass, crafted for users needing a precise and adaptable navigation tool. Made from durable acrylic, it is resistant to damage. With waterproof sealing, the model delivers reliable performance even in challenging weather conditions.
fluorescent markings, rotating dial
Fluorescent markings on the dial, needle, and plate enhance usability of the compass under low-light conditions. This model includes a magnifying glass, a 55-mm ruler, and scales of 1:15,000, 1:25,000, and 1:50,000. The rotating dial features a notched handle and a 360-degree graduation, allowing for accurate direction determination.
Neodymium magnet, magnetic declination correction, neck lanyard
Thanks to the use of a neodymium magnet, the needle works quickly, accurately and is resistant to demagnetization. A clear north pointer allows for instant orientation in the field, and the ability to correct magnetic declination makes the compass suitable for use in different geographic zones.
Rubber feet increase stability when working with the map. The model comes with a lanyard with a measuring function, allowing comfortable wearing around the neck. A built-in safety mechanism causes it to automatically untie when overstretched.

Over the years, Silva has become known for pioneering solutions - from global compass models, through intelligent lighting systems, to headlamps reaching output of up to 10000 lumens. The brand places great emphasis on sustainability - an example is the Terra Scout series, produced from recycled materials and hemp fibers.
