Rotary dial, 3 scale sliders

The transparent base plate crafted from acrylic facilitates map handling, while the integrated anti-slip features maintain stability during use. Equipped with a comfortable, corrugated handle, the rotating dial spans a 360-degree range for precise directional determination. The set includes three double-sided scale bars, allowing the use of four scales: 1:40000, 1:25000, 1:50000, and 1:24000. The waterproof design guarantees dependable performance even in challenging weather conditions.

Sapphire bearing needle

The needle, made of high-quality Swedish steel with excellent magnetic properties, guarantees precise directional indication. It is mounted on a sapphire bearing to ensure smooth movement and precise indication.     I use only Silva map compasses and they have never let me down. All the elements on the ruler are very useful, which makes it easy to quickly use the map. A definite plus is the scale placed on the lanyard – that's a cool solution. This model is similar to the Silva expedition (I have that one too); the main difference is really just a different compass scale housing.
