Savotta is a Finnish family company from Karstula that has been designing and manufacturing backpacks, bags, tents, and field gear for the military, rescue services, and people who value outdoor trips since 1955. The brand's gear has been supplied to the Finnish Defence Forces continuously since the 1960s, meeting the strict standards required for military equipment. Savotta builds its products with durability in mind, which is why it uses top-grade materials such as Cordura, and nearly all raw materials (97%) come from suppliers within the European Union. The brand also stands out for its own proprietary solutions: the Rapid Adjustment Slider fast adjustment system, frames made from polyethylene sheets, and laser-cut mounting points in the PALS/MOLLE standard. Every design is created in Finland, and the manufacturing of the gear remains entirely within the European Union. Along with growing interest, the brand expanded its production - since 2025, its products have been made in three countries: Finland, Estonia, and Poland. Regardless of where a given item was made, it undergoes final quality control at the Finnish headquarters in Karstula.
