Savotta is a Finnish family business from Karstula that has been designing and manufacturing backpacks, bags, tents and field equipment for the military, rescue services and people who value heading out into the wild since 1955. The brand's gear has been supplied to the Finnish Defence Forces without interruption since the 1960s, meeting the strict standards demanded of military equipment. Savotta builds its products with durability in mind, which is why it reaches for top-tier materials such as Cordura, with almost all of its raw materials (97%) coming from suppliers within the European Union. The brand also stands out for its own proprietary solutions: the Rapid Adjustment Slider quick-adjustment system, frames made of polyethylene plates, and laser-cut PALS/MOLLE attachments. Every design is created in Finland, and the entire manufacturing process remains within the borders of the European Union. As interest has grown, the brand has expanded production - since 2025 its products have been made in three countries: Finland, Estonia and Poland.
