Protektor Grom Unique Boots - Beige

I have the same model, but in black, and I likely won’t choose shoes from this brand (Demar) again. At first, they were very stiff and took a long time to break in, but now they are comfortable. Unfortunately, the upper part of the shoe at the front is set low, and the rivets near the lace holes are poorly secured, which can press against the top of your foot when tightly laced. The heel is well protected from wear. The sole is comfortable but completely flat and not very suitable for varied terrain. The leather is of good quality, but after less than two seasons of moderate use, it started to come apart slightly on the sides. Even after applying beeswax, I rate the water resistance at 3/5. The shoes look great and the leather is nice, but the lacing system lacks a lock, so you have to use a lot of force to tie them well. With some improvements, they could be excellent for this price. It's a pity.

The shoes are excellent. Very comfortable and perfect for winter in our climate. Of course, they're not meant for showers – that's what other shoes are for, like flippers. Together with warm socks, they make a great winter set. They'll also work well in chilly autumns and springs. They were tested in various terrain conditions during regular hikes and performed well. I don't know how they would do in extreme war conditions—and I hope I never find out. Be careful with sizing—Protektor often fails here. I have other models from this company in size 44, but for these ones I had to buy a 43.

The shoes are very comfortable, the sole grips the ground well even in winter. The downside is that my feet sweat quickly in them and the socks get wet. If it weren't for that, they would be excellent, because they're comfortable, look good, and are reasonably priced. Despite this, I still recommend them.

They look better in person than in the pictures. Unfortunately, they are not waterproof—I tested them in the shower, pouring water on them to simulate light rain. At first, they didn't let any water through, but after a few minutes, moisture seeped inside through the sole. Once the water got in, it kept increasing, like on a sinking ship. The tread is very weak, with no grip on wet surfaces—regular rubber boots are much better. Walking on muddy forest roads, I slipped twice and nearly fell once. They are also slippery on dry tiles in the church. I find the shoes hard; they're reasonably soft at the front, but hard and uncomfortable around the ankle when walking. In winter, they're cold—if anyone wonders. I really like how they look, but I only wear them on special occasions and don’t use them in the forest.

Very comfortable, soft, and breathable shoes that don't pinch anywhere. They provide excellent cushioning when walking on hard and uneven surfaces. The beige version also looks really good.

These shoes are really great. I have wide feet and it's usually hard for me to find suitable ones, especially in size 47. With these, I immediately felt comfortable – it's amazing! I will definitely order more pairs. After a whole day, my feet are only slightly damp and there's no unpleasant smell at all. I'm positively surprised.

The shoes are sturdy, lightweight, and soft. They are suitable for any terrain, the workmanship is very good, and I have no complaints. Fast delivery, everything as described. I highly recommend them.

Overall, I didn't plan to buy these shoes; I was looking for another model, the Protector S.A. Cross, but it was only available in a light version, so I chose this variant. I needed wide, light, and soft boots due to foot problems. Previously, I had the Cross model from this brand and have good memories of it. The Unique model, despite the reinforced heel and toe, has a very similar cut and shape. Upon receiving them, I can confirm that the quality is very high, the shoes are soft, lighter than the Cross (at least for me), and comfortable for wide feet – you put them on and forget you have them. I am satisfied. I didn't notice any major flaws, though worth mentioning: - No top hooks for quick lacing (there are only six, but that's not a big deal) - The loops are plastic (but seem sturdy) - I was hoping for a single-layer, uniform sole, but it's actually two layers (it still seems durable) - I trust the leather, but I'll apply additional waterproofing anyway.

Solidly made and comfortable for various terrains, the sizing is very accurate. I consider the purchase very successful and can recommend them to others. My wife likes them too, but fortunately they are too big for her and don't match mini skirts.

Great shoes, extremely comfortable and very high quality. The gray color looks much better in person. I use them every day when walking the dog in the forest, and they work perfectly.
