MultiCam is an advanced camouflage design created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs), as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. The aim was to develop a flexible camouflage pattern that performs well in various terrains and under shifting environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern features seven colors, which produce gradient transitions among shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows it to seamlessly blend into different backgrounds, taking on green hues in wooded areas and brown or beige tones in desert landscapes; it is notably effective in autumn or among dry vegetation in Central and Eastern Europe. MultiCam has achieved global acclaim and is utilized by numerous military forces and special units. In 2010, the US Army officially adopted the camouflage as the standard pattern for soldiers based in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also accessible to civilians, becoming a favored option among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
