The pants are made from durable material that resists damage and have plenty of practical pockets, which is a big advantage at this price. However, a downside is the lack of an adjustable waistband—the material is fairly stiff, and if the size isn't perfect, a smaller pair can feel tight (especially since they are high-waisted), while a larger pair, even if fine at the waist, might be too loose elsewhere, causing the legs to chafe. I therefore recommend trying on the pants first, as it's hard to get the right size without doing so.

Pentagon Lycos Trousers Black – a very successful purchase The trousers fully met my expectations. I am 178 cm tall with a standard build, I chose size 34/32 and they fit perfectly. The quality of the material and workmanship is a big plus. The fabric is solid and the stitching is very well done. After receiving them, I only had to trim a few loose threads, but there were very few of them and I absolutely do not consider this a problem. The trousers are flexible and very comfortable to wear. You can easily kneel, squat or sit in them. The cut is well balanced – neither too tight nor too baggy. The pockets are logically placed, spacious and very practical. For my daily mini EDC – foil, fire starter, flashlight, a piece of paracord with a carabiner and a few plasters – everything fits without any issue, and the pockets do not look overstuffed. The main pockets are really very deep. You can put your hand in almost up to the middle of your forearm. With very large items, this may cause a slight overlap with the contents of the cargo pockets, but in normal use it is not a problem for me. I tested the trousers in temperatures around 20–26°C in the shade and, to my surprise, I did not feel hot in them. The material breathes well, which is a big advantage. The black colour also suits me very well. I was worried that the ripstop pattern would be too visible on black, but it actually looks very good and subtle. Combined with a black top, the trousers give a typical contractor look, but at the same time they can easily be worn in the city or to the shop. And most importantly – during use I noticed that mosquitoes stopped biting through them, which is a big plus for my use case. In summary: very good material, solid workmanship, comfortable cut, great pockets and good breathability. The trousers met my expectations so well that I am planning to buy the Pentagon Lycos shorts as well. Definitely recommended.

I really like the style of these pants and the placement of the pockets. However, I think they are mainly suitable for wearing in the city, as their seams are not very durable. I had a problem with the first pair – they tore at the crotch while I was bending down. After exchanging them for a new pair, the same thing happened again. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with their average quality.

The pants are great in terms of cut, pocket placement, fabric quality, and craftsmanship. Unfortunately, following the size chart, I really missed the mark with the size I chose. In addition, they have a very low waist, almost like hip-huggers, which made me feel like they were about to fall off, and when squatting, I was worried about exposing what's known as a 'plumber's crack.' After several years of using Helikon pants, I started wearing Pentagon trousers and they are slowly becoming my favorite, although they require some getting used to. As others have mentioned, they have a lower waist, which gives the feeling that they are slipping off your hips, so it takes some time to adjust. Compared to Helikons, they are not as spacious – they have a more fitted cut. They work great for everyday wear in the city. I like both the material, the pockets, and the Pentacamo pattern. My measurements: 188 cm tall and 100 cm waist, I chose size 40/32. It's worth noting that other models may have different sizing. I recommend them.
