Peltors are very durable and weather-resistant – rain, frost, or mud won’t harm them. The quality and clarity of the sound are incomparably better than in headphones in the 300–600 PLN range (like Impact, Earmor, Walkers). You can turn them up so much that you can hear better with them than without, and the earplug mode even lets you use foam plugs underneath while maintaining high audibility. I tested them while firing a Carl Gustav grenade launcher – they performed excellently. When connected to a radio, you can hear messages even without batteries (although much quieter). Changing batteries is quick, and a single set of AA batteries lasts several days. The headphones are also very comfortable — they don’t tire your ears. I wore them continuously for several dozen hours. Cons: – Price – Once, during a huge commotion (about 130 shooters and a lot of action while the radio was on), they probably overloaded and turned off, but after restarting worked again – Annoying cables if you’re not using a radio – The radio cable is long enough to get in the way without a radio, but on the other hand, too short, so the PTT has to be clipped high – a few more centimeters would be useful Summary: For civilian shooting, this is too big of an expense – Walkers or Sordins are enough if you care about better sound. However, if durability, sound quality, and working with radios matter, this equipment is a must-have, definitely worth recommending, especially to those just starting military service. In my view, it’s worth spending those 2,700 PLN for comfort and health protection.

Professional ear protectors with active noise cancellation capabilities. This model includes two high-frequency microphones to enhance the clarity of ambient sounds.
Peltor ComTac VIII ear defenders deliver an attenuation rating of 29 dB.
The protectors allow for adjustable volume control of ambient sounds and conversations as required. Its advanced electronic circuitry shields against both impulse and consistent noise. Featuring a listening mode with Mission Audio Profiles (MAP), the device optimizes hearing quality considering the acoustic setting. Spatial sound analysis automatically fine-tunes sounds, aiding in better speech comprehension amidst noise.
Wide cushions provide excellent noise insulation. The lower part is contoured to ensure the protectors do not obstruct shooting activities. The low-profile headband evenly distributes weight across the head, making them comfortable for extended wear without causing discomfort. Its adjustable design allows easy customization to fit the shooter's head shape. The model is compatible with most military helmets.
Equipped with a microphone on the headband, these protectors can also function as a headset for radio communications. With the application of an appropriate PTT adapter, the headset is compatible with the majority of radios used by military and uniformed services, for instance,
- Motorola GP340/360/380, GP344/388, Mototrbo, XTS5000,
- Harris,
- Radmor.
The Peltor ComTac VIII operates on two AAA batteries, providing about 50 hours of use. Battery replacement involves removing the panel on one of the shells. It features a low power alert system and automatically shuts off after 4 hours of inactivity.
The ear protectors meet MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G standards.

MILITARY is a premium dealer of Peltor.
Peltor is a Swedish brand whose origins date back to 1950, when Thore Palmaer developed the first set that enabled effective communication in noisy military environments while protecting the user's hearing. The company has gained a reputation as a pioneer in the field of acoustic protection and today operates as part of the 3M group, offering advanced solutions for industry, the military, aviation, and outdoor enthusiasts. One of the brand's key achievements is the ComTac system, which has been used by the military since the late 1990s. This solution provides simultaneous noise protection and situational awareness by digitally suppressing high-intensity sounds and amplifying quieter ones. Another breakthrough in the range is the WS Alert XPV model – the world's first self-sufficient protective headphones with Bluetooth connectivity, equipped with Powerfoyle™ cells that allow solar charging. This technology significantly reduces and often eliminates the need for manual charging, offering users even greater independence and convenience.

Great headphones. They have effective noise cancellation, the microphones work very well. They have many features. They are comfortable, even with the factory ear pads. Only the battery life could be longer. I recommend this product.

Peltor is a classic among hearing protectors. They are very comfortable, even during prolonged use they do not cause discomfort, and on top of that, they do their job perfectly. Definitely worth trying them out.
