I do not recommend this telescope – it was made very cheaply. The plastic finder provides a blurry image, and there's no marker in the center of the main mirror, which makes collimation difficult. Under the mirror, I noticed a piece of cardboard used as cushioning. The aluminum tubes started jamming over time, the screws for the legs and counterweights rust, and the paint on the counterweights peels off in sheets. The gears responsible for up/down and left/right movements cracked. The eyepiece focuser has a lot of play, and the whole eyepiece holder is unstable. The eyepieces themselves are also of poor quality. The manufacturer incorrectly states the dimensions — the telescope is about 150/500, not 150/1400. The rubber knobs work imprecisely and slip, they're too flexible. The image through the telescope is average for equipment costing over 1000 PLN. Because of all these flaws, observations have chromatic aberration. For this amount, you can find a decent Dobsonian telescope. Unfortunately, I got tricked and learned my lesson. After taking a closer look at the Opticon brand, I must say it's better to choose something else.
Astronomical, lenticular telescope with a diameter of 150 mm. The large focal length of up to 1400 mm makes it easy to achieve high magnifications.
Made of durable alloy, the telescope's tube sits on a full-size aluminium tripod suspended from an EQ-III parallactic mount, which helps to find objects in the sky accurately based on coordinates read from an atlas.
The maximum magnification is 430x and the high-quality lenses allow observation of the relief on the lunar surface - mountains, valleys, seas and craters.
Excellent image contrast makes it possible to observe cloud belts on the planet's surface, as well as Saturn's rings.
A special interchangeable contrast filter improves the image quality during the full Moon, and the included Barlow lens doubles the available magnification range.
The telescope comes with sky maps and a leaflet with a QR code. The code, when scanned, gives access to a website where you can find additional digital material from the Young Explorer's Starter Pack.
The equipment is designed to support professional standard 1.25' components, allowing the kit to be gradually expanded with additional accessories.
Thanks to the included straightening lens, the telescope can be used as a spotting scope for nature and landscape observations (bird, aircraft or distant building observations).
