A great choice for people taking their first steps in sky observation.
Opticon Perceptor EX Telescope
A refracting telescope with a 900 mm focal length, an advancement of the Perceptor model, combines expansive observational capabilities with intuitive operation. With a lens speed of f/15 and a 3x Barlow lens, it allows for magnification up to 675x, enabling the study of the Moon, planets in the Solar System, and brighter deep-sky objects with a brightness up to 11.2 magnitude. It is also effectively suited for terrestrial observations, such as landscapes, airplanes, and birds.
Barlow lens, 60 mm objective lens
High-quality lenses provide a sharp and contrast-rich image. The applied Barlow lens offers the possibility to triple the magnification range. The 60 mm diameter objective lens delivers a bright image and resolution at 2.3″. An interchangeable contrast filter for lunar observation enhances image quality during a full moon, facilitating the perception of details. The telescope is equipped with a 6x24 mm finderscope, which simplifies precise targeting of objects.
Huygens and Ramsden eyepieces, azimuthal head
Three included eyepieces of the Huygens type (12.5 and 20 mm) and Ramsden SR 4 mm, combined with a 0.98" eyepiece extension, allow for easy adjustment of magnification to observing conditions. The diagonal contributes to increased user comfort and facilitates observation conduction.
The telescope is mounted on an aluminum tripod with a reinforced azimuthal head and precise adjustments, ensuring stability. This type of head is easy to operate and is particularly recommended for novice users.
Educational materials
The telescope comes with a set of materials to support the beginning of the astronomical adventure: star maps, computer software, practical guides, an HD quality documentary film on DVD, 3D glasses, and a richly illustrated "Star Trails" book developed by experts for beginner space enthusiasts.
