.The blade, featuring a Trailing Point profile, is crafted from Sandvik 12C27M stainless steel and polished to a high gloss. It is sharpened with a flat-full grind nearly approaching zero-grind, which combined with the slender blade, allows for superior cutting performance. This knife is perfect for filleting.
Opening the knife is facilitated by a notch on the blade, similar to Victorinox pocket knives. In the open position, the blade is secured with the Viroblock, a patent from 1955. This mechanism consists of a steel ring on the handle positioned at the axis of the blade's rotation. Once opened, the ring is rotated slightly to cover the blade slot in the handle, preventing any movement of the blade. Similarly, it safeguards the knife from accidental opening when folded.
