Ballistic eyewear from the American brand Oakley, the SI Ballistic Crosshair Gunmetal model, is inspired by classic aviator designs. Constructed from polycarbonate and C-5 alloy, these glasses adhere to ballistic standard requirements MIL PRF-31013, Clause 4.3.3.3.1, and ANSI Z87.1-2010 standards (Clause 6.2.2, Clause 5.1.4).
The frames are crafted from robust C-5 alloy. The temples and nose pad feature Unobtainium®, a hydrophilic material that ensures the eyewear remains securely in place on the user's face.
With a low-profile design, the frames are suitable for use with ear protection and communication gear, as well as being compatible with night vision devices.
Plutonite® polycarbonate lenses, integrated with High Definition Optics (HDO®) technology, provide superior optical clarity. The lenses are safeguarded with a Hard Coating to prevent scratches, while an anti-fog, flame-resistant layer is applied to the visors. Featuring a Grey tint, the lens permits 18% light transmission, ideal for medium to bright light scenarios, and complies with MCEPS standards for color neutrality and chromaticity. Its neutral contrast is effective in sunny conditions.
Included are a microfiber pouch for cleaning and storage, along with a sturdy case featuring the manufacturer's logo.
