Nokta 1st Swing Metal Detector
Easy-to-use metal detector with a waterproof 7" search coil. Thanks to the IP68 protection class, the device can be fully submerged up to a depth of 1 meter and is completely dustproof. It’s a great choice for beginners, older children, and users planning to spend time near water – by a lake or the sea.
Three detection modes, object type identification
The detector offers three operating modes (All Metal and two modes with different levels of discrimination) at a 15 kHz operating frequency. The 1st Swing model allows adjusting settings such as sensitivity level (low, medium, high), detection depth (shallow, medium, deep), and precise filtering of one or two types of metal.
Object type detection is enabled by three audio signals and a color LED indicator:
- low tone and red light indicate the presence of ferrous metals, e.g. nails, horseshoes
- medium tone and yellow light signal objects such as rings, pull tabs, aluminum foil, or low-value coins
- high tone and green light point to coins of various values, bottle caps, and some pull tabs
Clear LCD display, AA battery power
LCD display with a clear, icon-based interface ensures convenient and intuitive operation. The detector runs on two AA batteries (not included). The adjustable shaft length can be shortened from 109 to 83 cm, making it easier to transport and store. Low weight of 880 g enhances comfort even during extended outdoor use.

For starting your adventure with detectors, this device will work well. It allows you to learn how to use it and forgives mistakes, and if it gets damaged, it’s not a big loss. However, for more advanced users, it may be lacking in functionality.
