Installation involves replacing the original battery port cap of the headlamp with a cap featuring a cable ending in a switch. The switch on the cable can be mounted in a convenient location, such as near the front grip or trigger. The button on the cap allows for turning the constant light on and off, while the button on the cord activates the headlamp when pressed.
