Nils Camp NC17105 Folding Sleeping Pad - Green

Folding sleeping pad in green color, with dimensions 40 x 30 cm and a thickness of 2 cm, created for use in difficult field conditions. Made from IXPE, a material known for its low weight, excellent thermal insulation, and durability regardless of weather conditions. The compact design when folded facilitates transport, making the model suitable for camping, expeditions, or other outdoor activities.

The properties of the material used allow for comfortable use on various surfaces, such as grass, sand, or forest litter. It consists of 4 folded segments, allowing it to be folded to small sizes, which allows for convenient storage.

The surface of the sleeping pad is reinforced with an aluminum insert serving as insulation, providing protection against moisture and cold during camping and outdoor trips. The anti-slip surface ensures stability during sleep. Thanks to the aluminum layer, the mat is easy to clean.

The model is marked with R-Value 2, specified according to the ASTM F3340-18 standard. This indicator expresses the degree of insulation from the ground - the higher the value, the better the limitation of heat loss.

Interpretation of R-Value values in the outdoor industry:

• 1.0-2.0 - use in summer conditions (night temperatures above approx. 10 deg. C)
• 2.1-3.5 - use in spring-summer-autumn (approx. 0-10 deg. C)
• 3.6-5.0 - cold conditions, temperatures around 0 deg. C to negatives reaching approx. -5 /-10 deg. C
• 5.1-7.0 - use in winter, temperatures below 0 deg. C
• above 7.0 - winter conditions with increased insulation requirements

Actual thermal comfort depends on the sleeping system (sleeping bag, clothing), type of ground, and individual user's resistance to cold.
