Mil-Tec Steel Wire 2.0 Gaiters - Black

The gaiters are very good, the hook-and-loop fasteners hold securely, although the steel cable once already came undone for me, and I wonder whether this might happen more often. They protect effectively against sharp plants. I also used them during an airsoft game after an exceptionally rainy night — for 4 hours I pushed my way through tall grass and bushes. Unfortunately, they got soaked, although I was convinced that would not happen, but even so, without them the situation would have been much worse. Overall, I recommend them.

The gaiter is very well cut. It fits perfectly on the shins and the Velcro seems to be of very good quality. As a lumberjack, I use it for forestry applications only, and I must say it never comes undone and seems to resist abrasion well. The only downside for me is the stirrup, which comes out of its housing very often. The steel cable is strong enough, but the lead that keeps it in place in the gaiter is not long enough (or the hole in the housing is too big), so it doesn't stay in place. This means the gaiter often rides up along the leg and no longer does its job. A shame, otherwise the product would truly be perfect.

I use these gaiters in the fall and winter. They have steel cables, but I don’t use them. They are easy to put on thanks to strong Velcro, which holds well. They are not suitable for warmer months, as they make your legs hot. In exceptional situations, you can use them in the summer. I recommend buying them.

Very good product for warmer days, they are light and thin, so probably won't work well in winter. The Velcro holds firmly and they don’t slip off the leg. They rustle a little while walking, but it does not cause discomfort. I have no complaints about their breathability.

I used them during SERE B – they worked great, others had soaked shoes while mine only started leaking on the third day, and from another spot. There is a hook for the shoelace, but it often slides off, yet overall they hold well. Sometimes the wire under the sole loosens and dangles, but doesn't fall out – you just need to push it back in. The Velcro, although loud, holds well. They are not insulated, they are thin, intended rather for warmer weather, although they could be more breathable.

The size is very appropriate, nice color, they hold well. The downside is the installation of the steel cables, which are not secured in any way and often fall out – I have already lost one.

Gaiters of excellent quality. They perfectly protect shoes and pants from water, dirt, and damage.

Perfect for morning walks in the forest.
