I find this simple Mil-Tec cup a useful addition to my gear for several reasons. It is made of stainless steel, making it sturdy, highly durable, easy to clean, and suitable for heating directly over a flame—whether on a camp stove or a campfire. It weighs 93g, just slightly more than a packet of noodles (which you can cook right inside, thanks to its 500 ml capacity). The handle is fixed, so it will burn you if you grab it straight off the heat. Given these features and a price tag of under €3.50, I think it’s a great option to carry in your backpack or camping kit.
