This is a sturdy, thick, and heavy blanket, it really protects well against the cold, but it takes up quite a lot of space, so if someone wants to take it outdoors, they should think about that. Wool is wool – it can be a little scratchy. Other than that, everything is fine and it serves its purpose.

The blanket has a dense weave, it seems to be made of compact wool, but it scratches quite a bit and is a bit rough. It's hard to judge the look because it’s a typical military pattern, and that's how it’s supposed to look. It provides good warmth and you can feel its weight, which wraps you up well.
