Mil-Tec Headwrap Bandana - Flecktarn

A classic back-tied bandana crafted from pure cotton in Flecktarn camouflage. The material ensures exceptional breathability and provides superior wearing comfort. It functions superbly as head protection from the sun and aids in retaining warmth during cooler days. Its universal size makes it suitable for any head size.

 

Anatomical stitching and universal size

Crafted from 100% cotton fabric that is non-irritating. The back is equipped with long ties (approximately 10 cm each) for adjusting the bandana to various head sizes. Contoured stitching improves comfort during wear. The soft seams are designed to minimize chafing. The fabric dimensions, excluding the ties, measure 15 x 24 cm.

Multifunctional use

The bandana is recognized for its multi-functional use. Along with its traditional role of providing sun protection for the head, it can also be worn as a foundation layer under a helmet, hard hat, or cap, efficiently absorbing moisture. During vigorous activities, it stops sweat from reaching the eyes and can also double as a temporary water filter in outdoor environments when necessary.

Camouflage Flecktarn

Flecktarn is a traditional German military camouflage design that was officially adopted by the Bundeswehr in 1990. It features a pattern of small, irregular spots in five colors—usually dark green, olive, brown, black, and beige. With its numerous dots and blurred color boundaries, Flecktarn effectively disrupts the wearer's silhouette in forested areas, as well as in scrublands and against the backdrop of forest undergrowth. The camouflage was crafted for European climates, specifically suited for the temperate zone. Today, Flecktarn continues to be a standard pattern used by the German army and other military and police forces. Its effectiveness has prompted various adaptations and versions in other countries.
