The whistle does its job. It's cheap and good – good because it's cheap ;) Of course, you can see that it's not top-shelf equipment, but I've had it in my backpack for over a year and nothing has happened to it.

The whistle is reasonably well made. I gave it to my child for signaling. With a light blow the sound is appropriate, a stronger blow gives a very loud signal – I could feel it in my ears. I'm satisfied, I think it's loud enough, although there are probably even louder models.
