The second-generation ECWCS waterproof jacket is crafted from a three-layer laminate offering superior protection against wind and water. This material is also vapor-permeable, minimizing the risk of overheating during high-effort activities.
Composed of 96% polyester and 4% elastane, the jacket's outer layer incorporates a breathable polyurethane membrane internally. It includes a detachable, warm fleece lining, enabling wear in not just autumn and spring, but also winter. A snow apron reinforces the winter suitability of the Wet Weather Jacket model, preventing snow intrusion.
The design includes seven pockets:
- two spacious hip pockets with waterproof zippers,
- two sleeve pockets with Velcro and waterproof zippers,
- a large Velcro pocket in the back lining,
- two side zippered pockets in the lining.
Secured with a two-way YKK® zipper enhanced with a double flap, the jacket's breathability and ventilation are further supported by underarm vents equipped with zippers.
A high collar and hood provide effective protection for the head and neck against cold and wind. Adjustable cuffs, fastened with Velcro, allow for size adjustment to fit the user's wrist thickness. All seams in the outer jacket are sealed.
