At the beginning of my outdoor cooking adventure, I used a regular pot placed directly on the campfire coals. Over time, I started using simple mess kits, which turned out to be much better, but the problem arose when I wanted to make a fire in public places or near other people. That's why I started looking for a portable stove that could be quickly set up, used to prepare food, and packed up just as quickly. In my opinion, spirit burners are the most versatile. Their equivalents, similar to Trangia, can be found for several dozen zlotys, but you still have to add the cost of a wind shield, pot stand, and separate dishes. Ultimately, the total price easily exceeds 100 PLN, and it's hard to find a solution where everything fits together and is easy to pack. The Mil-Tec Cook-Set offers a practically complete kit that beats regular mess kits hands down. For one price, you get a spirit burner, wind shield, and two pots plus a pan, which can also be used as a plate or lid. Personally, I consider this purchase as if I bought a great set of cookware and got the burner for free. For this money, it's hard to find anything better. I highly recommend it and would definitely buy it again myself.
