This is a backpack designed for larger loads — 55 liters gives you enough room to pack comfortably for a few days without forcing everything in. The Olive version is practical, looks good outdoors, and doesn’t show dust easily. The material and workmanship feel solid, so this is more of a long-term purchase than something for a single trip. Carrying comfort, however, depends on proper adjustment — when the hip belt and shoulder straps are fitted well, the weight is distributed as it should be and the backpack can be worn longer without much trouble. If it is packed very heavily and the straps are not adjusted, though, your shoulders will quickly feel the strain. With such a large main compartment, it is also easy to lose small items, which is why extra pouches or organizers are very helpful. Overall, it is a good choice for trips, as a base backpack for the car or for camping, anywhere that a 55 l capacity really matters rather than a lightweight sports model.
Mil-Tec Commando Backpack 55 l - Olive
Versatile expedition backpack featuring a total capacity of 55 liters, enabling the main compartment to be split into two distinct sections – upper and lower. Perfect for military applications, outdoor activities, and extended trips. Constructed from robust 600D polyester with a PVC coating, offering water resistance and enhanced abrasion resistance.
Functional external pockets
The design includes 4 external pockets for easy organization and quick access to the most necessary items:
- 2 large side pockets measuring 25 x 15 x 5 cm, closed with a zipper
- 1 front pocket with an additional Mesh
- 1 smaller pocket on the flap, also closed with a zipper
Adjustable shoulder straps, aluminum frame, and carrying comfort
The main compartment is closed with a drawstring extension and a flap with buckles. The back section is equipped with a removable, lightweight aluminum frame. Adjustable shoulder straps, a wide hip strap and a sponge padded back panel ensure comfort and a proper fit. Critical points of the structure - such as the back, straand shoulders - have been further reinforced, which significantly increases the durability of the backpack. Carrying is facilitated by a sturdy handle, and a rain cover is included in the set.
Customization option – velcro panel
On the front, there is a velcro panel that measures 10 x 5 cm, ideal for attaching various patches like flags, unit insignias, or popular Morale Patches.

I am satisfied with this backpack. It is solidly made and well-designed. The hip belt is comfortable, and the pockets on it are a big plus. The ability to separate the main compartment is a great solution. The side pouches are roomy. I also appreciate the built-in cover and the extra pocket for small items. The straps only loosened when taking off the backpack, but everything was fine during use. The material seems thin but withstood being fully packed and stretched. This is just the beginning of using it, but so far I have no complaints. I recommend it!

A very practical backpack with excellent storage capacity. The different compartments make it easy to organize your belongings, and it is comfortable to carry. The rain cover is a real plus. Very good equipment for long outings.
-
Excellent value for money. Well-thought-out pockets and compartments. The only point that bothers me: there is no separate opening and compartment for a hydration bladder. Otherwise, everything is great. It is very comfortable to carry, even with a good amount of weight inside. Absolute buying recommendation.

The bag is ace, lots of zips and clips, plenty of space. Fits my tent, sleeping bag and sleeping mat just in the central main section alone. Nice hip belt. Fits well, everything is adjustable. Quick shipping. Great product

I highly recommend this backpack! I already had a 65L backpack that I like. But I wanted to try one with a frame and this one has that,it is just as comfortable as it looks and I aspected, there is room for everything I need for my trips in the woods, light packing for a day or overnighting for one ore more days. I´m into bushcrafting and I think this backpack is just perfect for that,It fullfills all my needs. This model has zippers and that makes it very convenient to reach what you need to get out ani into the backpack. I haven´t tried out the built in raincover yet (we have a great summer :-) ),but it feels real good knowing it is there if needed. This is a real good backpack in my opinion!

The backpack gives the impression of being a sturdy and practical option for hikes, trips, and carrying a large amount of things. The 55-liter capacity is enough for clothes, gear, a sleeping bag, and other essentials for several days. The material is dense, the backpack holds its shape well, and the seams and hardware look reliable. The straps are wide and quite comfortable, and the waist belt helps to better distribute the weight when fully loaded. There are additional pockets and straps, which make organizing things more convenient. The Olive color is practical and not too easily soiled. As for the downsides – when fully loaded, the back support could be a bit stiffer for better comfort.

After my first trip with this backpack, I can confidently give it the highest rating. It easily holds a lot of luggage – 55 liters is enough to pack for a few days away without having to cram things in. The Olive color is practical – it looks good outdoors and dirt or dust doesn't show easily. The material and craftsmanship are very good, and the whole thing feels like a durable, solid construction, ideal not just for one adventure. It's a great choice for various trips or camping.

Great backpack, very good fastenings, good frame, especially good for people who have lower back problems (hernias). Water-repellent, rain doesn't bother it at all. Among the downsides: lacks external fastenings.
-
Spacious backpack with enough room for multi-day trips. Many compartments and attachment options. A solid and functional solution for the price. However, I miss the MOLLE loops.

The backpack is truly "for volume" – 55 liters lets you pack for several days without having to cram everything in. The olive color is practical, looks good outdoors, and doesn't show dust much. The material and stitching seem sturdy; it doesn’t look like a single-use product. Carrying comfort depends a lot on the adjustment. If you tighten the hip belt and set the straps correctly, the weight is well-distributed and you can walk longer, but when it’s heavily loaded, without good fit you’ll quickly feel it in your shoulders. In such a large compartment, small items get lost easily, so pouches/covers for your stuff are really useful. Overall, it's a good choice for trips, as a base, for car camping, and outdoors – when you really need 55L, not a lightweight running backpack.
-
I took it with me on long trips and outings, and from the very first days I had the feeling that this item was made for serious loads. There is so much space that you don't have to sacrifice comfort or leave anything important at home. It sits confidently on your back, even when fully loaded, and doesn't cause irritation or the need to constantly adjust it. During use, you get a pleasant sense of reliability and readiness for any conditions. Overall, this is equipment that gives you confidence on the road and peace of mind that you have everything you need with you.

I am very happy with my purchase. This backpack is very nice, spacious and sturdy. It is also very comfortable. I can't wait to try it out in the wild!
-
I’m giving 5 stars mainly because of the price, but the lack of a MOLLE system is a downside for me. The side pockets could be a little bigger so, for example, a thermos could fit. The pocket with the sewn-in rain cover looks good at first glance, but the cover takes up space that could have been better used. Besides that, the backpack has a decent capacity, easy access to all items without having to take everything out. The carrying system is very comfortable! If you're looking for more advanced solutions, you might want to choose a more expensive model, but for less demanding users, this backpack is a great option.

The backpack is very spacious. Nice, convenient pockets are located on the hip belt. It also comes with a chest strap, which, combined with the soft and thick padding on the back, makes it comfortable to carry even when fully loaded. The only thing I’m missing is a special pocket or pouch for documents. The built-in rain cover is a very pleasant and practical surprise.
