The material is light and stretchy, making them more suitable for warm spring and summer days (although it's not exactly softshell). The waist is also elastic. Size XL corresponds to a standard XL. A plus for the wide belt loops. The knees are equipped with pockets for pads. Overall, I highly recommend them.
