MFH Viper Softshell Jacket - OD Green

A softshell jacket in green, serving as a lightweight and warm outer layer, designed for outdoor activities, hiking, field work, and everyday wear. It combines wind protection and waterproofing rated at 8000 mm water column with breathability of 3000 g/m2/24 h, a comfortable fit, and an extensive pocket layout.

The subdued color scheme pairs well with outdoor clothing and tactical accouterment. The jacket's technical cut, velcro panels on the shoulders, elbow reinforcements, and numerous pockets make the Viper model suitable both for field trips and everyday use.

The outer material is made from a combination of:

• 95% polyester - responsible for durability, resistance to everyday wear, and quick drying,
• 5% spandex - increasing the material's flexibility and allowing freer movement during hiking, trekking, and field work.

Inside is a warm fleece lining with a structure resembling a honeycomb. The material, with a grammage of 355 g/m2, provides additional insulation against the cold. The lining structure also supports air circulation and improves wearing comfort. The fleece finish is also found inside the high collar.

The outer material is windproof, limits the penetration of cold air, and increases protection in windy weather. The jacket works well as an outer clothing layer during transitional seasons and during outdoor activities.

The material surface has hydrophobic properties. It limits moisture absorption and provides protection against light rain rated at 8000 mm water column. The material's breathability is 3000 g/m2/24 h. The fabric allows water vapor to escape during exertion, which helps limit moisture buildup inside the jacket.

In the elbow area, reinforcements made of 100% nylon with a grammage of 210 g/m2 were used. They increase the resistance of the most exposed parts of the sleeves to abrasion, contact with the ground, and stress during field work.

The sleeves are equipped with pockets for elbow pads, closed with velcro, which allow the installation of compatible protective inserts.

The jacket is equipped with an extensive pocket system located on the front, inside the jacket, and on the sleeves:

• on the front there are 2 large pockets closed with two-way zippers
• on the left side, inside the jacket, there is 1 large elastic mesh pocket
• on the sleeves there are 2 pockets closed with zippers

Additionally, the model features two-part velcro panels measuring approx. 9.5 x 12 cm, designed for attaching patches, emblems, and markings.

The jacket is fastened with a two-way zipper, equipped with a chin guard, an outer velcro-secured placket, and pull tabs for easier operation while wearing gloves.

The model features a high stand-up collar that protects the neck from wind and cold. An adjustable hood is integrated into the collar and can be adjusted using elastic cords and cord locks.

Under the arms there are two-way ventilation zippers. They allow airflow adjustment during intense exertion, hiking, field work, or wearing the jacket in higher temperatures.

The cuffs have an elastic finish and additional velcro adjustment. The elastic element helps limit cold air from entering the sleeves, and the strap allows the circumference to be adjusted to the wrist and the layer worn underneath. The waist is equipped with an elastic drawstring adjustable with cord locks.
