Meteor Self-Inflating Mat 195 x 60 x 2,5 cm - Black

Self-inflating mat with a length of 195 cm, made of durable pongee-type material, which stands out for its high resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. Polyurethane foam with a thickness of 2.5 cm effectively insulates against the cold and guarantees comfort during sleep.

The model features a R-Value 2.5 thermal insulation coefficient, determined in accordance with the ASTM F3340-18 standard. This parameter determines the degree of insulation from the ground - the higher the value, the more effective the reduction of heat loss.

Interpretation of the R-Value used in the outdoor industry:

• 1.0-2.0 - use in summer conditions (night temperatures above approx. 10 degrees Celsius),
• 2.1-3.5 - use in spring-summer-autumn conditions (approx. 0-10 degrees Celsius),
• 3.6-5.0 - cool conditions, around 0 degrees Celsius and sub-zero temperatures down to approx. -5 /-10 degrees Celsius,
• 5.1-7.0 - winter use, temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius,
• above 7.0 - winter conditions with increased insulation requirements.

Actual thermal comfort depends on the sleep system (sleeping bag, clothing), the type of ground, and the user's individual resistance to cold.

When unfolded, the mat automatically fills with air thanks to the expanding foam. When rolled up, the air escapes on its own, which helps reduce volume and makes transport easier. The built-in valve allows additional air to be added, adjusting the firmness of the mat to individual preferences.
