Very lightweight and breathable, they work great during warmer days and outdoor activities. They fit the foot well and provide excellent ground contact, which is really appreciated during longer walks. I use them regularly and so far I haven't had any problems with their durability.
Merrell Vapor Glove 7 Shoes - Beluga
The barefoot athletic shoes, designed to replicate walking barefoot, are equipped with a Vibram TC5+ outsole responsible for traction on various surfaces and for maintaining contact between the foot and the ground. The upper, laces, mesh, and insole are made from recycled materials.
Textile mesh upper
The upper is made of textile mesh, which stands out for its breathability, durability, and resistance to damage. The shoe also features a tongue construction that helps limit debris from getting inside, along with an elastic collar that makes the footwear easier to put on and take off.
Soft EVA foam insole, Cleansport NXT
The anatomically shaped insole is made of soft EVA foam, which promotes a proper fit to the foot and enhances wearing comfort. The breathable mesh lining supports air circulation. The footwear uses Cleansport NXT technology, which reduces the formation of unpleasant odors. The solution is based on a system of beneficial bacteria introduced into the fabric structure. When they come into contact with sweat, they become activated and produce enzymes that eliminate the bacteria responsible for unpleasant odor. As a result, the footwear stays fresh throughout its service life, while the bacteria remain on the surface of the material.
Vibram TC5+ outsole
Stable movement in the field is supported by the cushioned Vibram TC5+ outsole, which, combined with an appropriately shaped tread, provides very good traction on various types of ground.
Classic lacing system
The Vapor Glove 7 model is equipped with durable laces threaded through sturdy eyelets, allowing the footwear to be properly adjusted to the foot.

EVA is a lightweight foam made of plastic characterized by flexibility and durability, as well as good resistance to chemicals and moisture. It is widely used in the production of clothing, footwear and accessories.
Vibram TC5+ is a type of rubber sole characterized by very good traction and grip, both on wet and dry surfaces. In addition, it protects the foot from uneven terrain and cushions any impact.
Cleansport NXT is a technology that uses microorganisms to neutralize odors by naturally breaking down organic matter. Beneficial microorganisms are permanently fused to the fibers of the materials, where, when they come into contact with the organic material (sweat), they activate and produce enzymes that fight the bacteria responsible for the odor. This ecological process ensures a feeling of freshness and comfort even during the most intense activities.

In my opinion, these shoes are definitely not for everyone—they are true barefoot shoes and it's important to be aware of that before purchasing. At first, I felt like I was walking completely barefoot, which seemed a bit strange, but after a few days I got used to it and started to notice the advantages of this solution. The shoes are very light, provide great freedom for the foot, and allow for strong ground feel—something some people may like while others might find bothersome. For me, they're great for walking on asphalt and compact paths, but you need to be careful on more challenging terrain because you feel everything through the thin sole. One advantage is the excellent ventilation—the feet don't sweat as much on warm days as they do in traditional shoes. I also rate the craftsmanship positively: nothing is coming unglued or unraveling, although this isn't a super-durable shoe—it's more focused on comfort and a natural way of moving. For people consciously looking for lightweight, minimalist footwear, this choice will be a good one.
