Merrell MOAB 3 MID Boots - Walnut

Brown trekking boots designed for hiking, walking, and various types of outdoor activity. The model combines stability provided by the raised upper with traction suitable for varied terrain.

MOAB 3 MID is the next version of the highly regarded MOAB series. The construction was developed for long-term use on the trail, but it also performs well for everyday wear.

The upper is made from a combination of suede leather and breathable mesh. The suede increases the durability of the construction, while the synthetic panels with a perforated structure support air circulation inside the footwear.

The mid-height upper provides additional support around the ankle. It helps maintain stability while walking on uneven terrain, rocky paths, and forest trails. The shaped construction of the upper supports the foot without allowing excessive freedom of movement.

Traction is provided by the Vibram TC5+ outsole. The rubber compound used ensures grip on various types of surfaces. The tread depth is 5 mm.

The varied lug pattern improves ground contact, supports stability on uneven surfaces, and makes it easier to remove small stones and dirt from the sole area. The tread profile combines larger lugs in the heel and midfoot zones with more directional elements in the front part of the sole.

The middle part of the sole is made of Super Rebound Compound foam. The material provides lasting cushioning and helps reduce torsional stress acting on the foot while walking. The sole construction supports smooth foot rollover from the heel toward the midfoot.

In the central part of the construction, a molded nylon element supporting the arch of the foot has been used. The combination of cushioning and stabilization makes the boots suitable for long distances and activities that require frequent movement over uneven ground.

The heel uses Merrell Air Cushion technology. The air cushioning absorbs some of the shock generated when the foot makes contact with the ground and supports step stability.

This solution helps reduce stress felt when walking on hard, rocky, and uneven surfaces. The cushioning in the rear part of the sole supports a smooth transition from heel strike to the next phase of the step.

The inside of the shoe is finished with breathable mesh padding made of 100% recycled materials. Its structure supports air circulation and helps reduce heat buildup during prolonged use.

Comfort is provided by a contoured insole. Its shape adapts to the foot, supports its positioning, and helps distribute pressure while walking. The insole increases comfort during many hours of walking on varied terrain.

The boots are equipped with a classic lacing system running from the front of the foot up to the top edge of the upper. The placement of the lace guides allows you to gradually adjust the boot's tension to the foot - separately in the toe, midfoot, and ankle zones.
