Mechanix Wear M-Pact Tactical Gloves - Black/Grey

Robust tactical gloves crafted for essential mechanical hand protection. Their accurate fit ensures total grip control, enabling the execution of tasks demanding high precision. Perfect for personnel in uniformed services, military members, shooting aficionados, as well as for survival activities, workshop tasks, DIY projects, or airsoft games.

Synthetic leather, Armortex material, touchscreen compatible

The gloves are made from durable Armortex fabric and synthetic leather, which ensures a secure grip and minimizes the risk of slipping on smooth surfaces. The upper part is made of lightweight, breathable TrekDry fabric, which reduces hand perspiration. The cuff is fastened with Velcro for an easy fit. Synthetic leather inserts on the index finger and thumb allow you to operate touchscreens without removing the gloves.

TPR panels, impact-absorbing inserts

The exterior of the gloves features sturdy panels made of TPR (Thermal Plastic Rubber, which complies with EN 13594), providing hand protection from abrasions and impacts from the environment – perfect for indoor settings and CQB operations. The segmented design of the panels ensures unrestricted finger mobility. Positioned at the gloves' base are D3O inserts that effectively absorb impact energy and vibrations in the metacarpal region.

EN388-2121XP protection standard

The gloves meet the protective standard EN388 level 2121XP in terms of mechanical resistance, which means:

  • 2: abrasion resistance (scale 0-4)
  • 1: cut resistance (scale 0-5)
  • 2: tear resistance (scale 0-4)
  • 1: puncture resistance (scale 0-4)
  • X: cut resistance - TDM test (ISO 13997) (scale A-F)
  • P: impact protection (test passed)

The scales provided in the EN388 standard define the level of protection of the gloves: the value 0 means no protection, while the highest values (4, 5) indicate the maximum level of resistance.

When testing with the TDM method (ISO 13997), letter markings are used, where A represents the lowest protection, and F represents the highest protection.

The marking X indicates that the given parameter was not tested or does not apply. The marking P indicates that the glove meets the impact protection requirements.

TPR feature
TPR

TPR, or thermoplastic rubbeTPR, or thermoplastic rubber, is a material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. It is flexible and durable, and is often used in the manufacture of tool handles, gaskets, footwear, and many other products, as it provides comfort, good grip and wear resistance.r, is a type of synthetic material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. TPR is characterized by its flexibility and abrasion resistance.

TrekDry feature
TrekDry

TrekDry is a modern material characterized by high breathability. It effectively wicks moisture away from the surface of the skin, which helps to keep it dry and thermally comfortable during intense physical activity. It fits to the shape of the hand, ensuring freedom of movement and increasing precision during various activities.

Armortex feature
Armortex

Armortex is a durable material that is highly resistant to abrasion, tearing and cutting.  Its special synthetic fiber structure reinforces the areas most vulnerable to damage, and the special texture ensures better grip and a secure hold. It prevents the gloves from becoming wet in contact with water, oil or other liquids.

D3O feature
D3O

D3O is a modern material with intelligent molecules that move freely during normal use. However, at the moment of impact, they fuse together, absorbing and dispersing energy, then rapidly return to an elastic state. As a result, the material effectively reduces vibration, protects hands from injury and reduces hand strain while working.

Very comfortable to wear for extended periods. So far, I have used them for simple gardening tasks. They are lightweight and have a well-fitted size, and the yellow logo makes them easy to find.

The gloves are durable and reinforced. They work great for heavy tasks, especially when the back of the hand is particularly at risk of injury. They remain comfortable even with prolonged wear.
