Mechanix Wear Cold Weather Durahide Insulated Driver Gloves

Beige gloves crafted with cutting-edge Durahide DRY technology. The leather fabrication shields your hands from moisture while providing excellent breathability. Featuring C40 3M Thinsulate insulation and a Sherpa lining, these gloves retain warm air inside and efficiently wick away moisture, ensuring thermal comfort and aiding in body temperature regulation during extreme weather conditions.

elastic cuff, opening for snap fastener or drawstring

The gloves come with a cozy, flexible cuff that can be adjusted to fit your wrists comfortably. The cuff is extended, providing improved protection against cold air seeping in. Featuring a trapezoidal thumb design, these gloves allow unrestricted movement. A notable feature of this model is the snap or string opening, which enables the gloves to be connected, greatly simplifying transport and storage.

Protection according to EN388 and EN511 standards

The gloves comply with the EN388 protective standard at level 1122X in terms of resistance to mechanical risks, which means:

  • 1: abrasion resistance (scale 0–4)
  • 1: cut resistance (scale 0–5)
  • 2: tear resistance (scale 0–4)
  • 2: puncture resistance (scale 0–4)
  • X: cut resistance – TDM test (ISO 13997); (scale A–F)

Protection against cold complies with the EN511 standard at level 11X, which means:

  • 1: resistance to convective cold (scale 0–4)
  • 1: resistance to contact cold (scale 0–4)
  • X: resistance to water penetration (0 or 1)

The scales specified in the EN388 and EN511 standards define the level of glove protection: a value of 0 indicates no protection, while the highest values (4, 5) indicate the maximum level of resistance. For water penetration resistance: 0 indicates penetration, and 1 indicates no penetration.

When tested using the TDM method (ISO 13997), letter markings are used, where A indicates the lowest protection and F the highest.

The designation X indicates that the given parameter was not tested or is not applicable.
