Mechanix Speedknit Thermal Tactical Gloves Black

Tactical gloves in classic black, made from a durable blend of nylon and acrylic. The outer layer is coated with nitrile fabric, which effectively protects against wind and moisture. The acrylic knit insulation ensures effective warmth, providing thermal comfort in cooler conditions.

durable materials, touchscreen capability

The gripping surface is made of sanded nitrile. The textured, non-slip coating enables touchscreen operation, precise grip, and convenience when performing detailed tasks. An additional advantage is the compression cuffs, which fit perfectly to the hands while protecting against the cold. The gloves are machine washable.

ANSI/ISEA 105-6A2X and EN388-3331X and EN511-12X standards

The gloves meet the American protective standard ANSI/ISEA 105 at level 6A2X for cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance, which means:

  • 6: abrasion resistance (on a scale from 1 to 6)
  • A2: cut resistance (on a scale from A1 to A9)
  • X: puncture resistance (on a scale from 0 to 5)

They comply with the protective standard EN388 at level 3331X in terms of resistance to mechanical hazards, which means:

  • 3: abrasion resistance (scale 0–4)
  • 3: cut resistance (scale 0–5)
  • 3: tear resistance (scale 0–4)
  • 1: puncture resistance (scale 0–4)
  • X: cut resistance – TDM test (ISO 13997) (scale A–F)

Cold protection complies with the EN511 standard at level 12X, which means:

  • 1: resistance to convective cold (scale 0–4)
  • 2: resistance to contact cold (scale 0–4)
  • X: water penetration resistance (0 or 1)

In the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard, abrasion resistance is rated on a scale from 1 to 6 and refers to the number of cycles the material can withstand before wear. Cut resistance is classified on a scale from A1 to A9 (from the lowest to the highest level of protection). Puncture resistance is defined on a scale from 0 to 5 and indicates the force required to puncture the glove surface with a sharp probe (excluding needle punctures).

The scales specified in EN388 and EN511 standards indicate the level of glove protection: a value of 0 means no protection, while the highest values (4, 5) indicate the maximum level of resistance. For water penetration resistance: 0 means penetration, and 1 means no penetration.

In the TDM test method (ISO 13997), letter markings are used, where A indicates the lowest protection and F the highest

The X marking indicates that a given parameter was not tested or is not applicable.

Good winter gloves, they work great during work. They are water-resistant. In my opinion, they are best suited for slightly below freezing temperatures. The size seems a bit larger compared to other Mechanix (Original) models. I recommend them.

The gloves fit well in the hand, are flexible, and are suitable for various tasks, both for car work and snow shoveling. They also worked well during sledding. As for warmth, they protect the palm and fingers up to the knuckles even at temperatures below -11°C, but the fingertips, especially the tips, start to get cold already at -6°C.

The gloves seem very warm (although I haven't had a chance to use them yet), but in my opinion, they have two significant drawbacks: first, if someone is looking for cheap shooting gloves and thinks that Mechanix will work, they will be disappointed – these are typical work gloves, not for the shooting range, and they're too stiff for that activity. The second issue is the size – I chose L according to the chart, and while they fit well in width, there's a lot of extra room in the fingers, so it would be better if they were either shorter in the fingers or less tight on the hand.

I bought them with snow removal in mind, but winter weather hasn't arrived yet. However, even in dry conditions, you can see a huge difference compared to so-called vampire gloves. The gloves are flexible, fit well, and provide warmth. I'm not sure about their breathability. They won’t work at -30 degrees, but in temperatures from -10 to +10 they will serve their purpose well.

Very good work gloves. They are exceptionally warm, comfortable, and perfect for manual tasks. An additional advantage is the wide range of sizes and the classic black color.

Great gloves for working in low temperatures, but they also work just as well for regular walks outdoors. They are comfortable, stretchy, and keep warmth well, although they get dirty easily. This is already my second purchase of this product.

This time, when choosing another pair of Mechanix gloves, I was tempted by their attractive promotional price. However, I truly appreciated them only after putting them on—they are not only warm but also have an outer layer resembling rubber, which improves grip and protects hands from the cold. They are perfect for winter, not only for snow removal. Great choice and excellent workmanship.

Mechanix SpeedKnit Thermal – great for winter: they keep you warm, fit perfectly, and don't restrict movement. Excellent choice for cold days.

I bought these gloves to get free shipping, I didn't expect them to be this good. They're solid, comfortable, and warm – even if I had paid twice as much for them, I'd be satisfied.

Great gloves for cold, wet days. Very comfortable. Quite thick, not for precision work, but they’re not meant for that. This is my second purchase, I honestly recommend them.

Solid gloves for harsh winter conditions and increased humidity. The inner material improves grip on wet items. Recommended for demanding users.

I've been using them every day as winter gloves for the second season now. Only my snowboarding gloves are warmer, but with these I can work and they're still like new. If they wear out, I'll buy them again without hesitation.

Durable gloves, fit the wrist well, have a rough, rubberized surface – this improves grip. Fingers are coated with a waterproof layer (haven't tested this yet). They effectively protect against the cold. My wife is also satisfied.

Great price to quality ratio. Warm inside, and the outside seems rubberized. I think they are waterproof. Well-made gloves. I recommend and best regards.

Good gloves for home work – from shoveling snow to carrying things. Stiff, not for operating smartphones. Typical, well-insulated work gloves. I’d gladly buy another pair as a backup, but the current ones will probably last a long time.
