The gloves are versatile – I use them mostly for tougher work where good hand protection is needed, like chopping wood. I recommend them.
Mechanix Original M-Pact Open Cuffs Tactical Gloves - Black/Grey
Black/Grey tactical gloves that are both durable and versatile, crafted for professional soldiers and special forces operators.
Synthetic leather, Armortex material, TrekDry, open cuffs
The integration of Armortex material with synthetic leather guarantees an outstanding grip, minimizing the chance of slipping on smooth surfaces. The gloves' upper section is crafted from lightweight, breathable TrekDry fabric, offering a precise fit and excellent comfort. The flexible, open cuff design in the Open Cuff variant comes with an elastic band, dispensing with the need for a traditional closure and enhancing usability.
TPR panels, D3O inserts
The exterior of the gloves includes robust TPR (Thermal Plastic Rubber) panels, which meet EN 13594 standards, safeguarding hands against scrapes and impacts from external forces. The segmented design of these panels ensures natural finger flexibility. The palm area is fortified with D3O inserts, effectively absorbing shocks and diminishing impact energy in the metacarpal region.
Touchscreen compatibility, loops for easy carrying
The touchscreen-compatible feature enables the use of mobile devices without taking off the gloves. Furthermore, loops on the wrists assist in transport, storage, and keeping the gloves together.
EN388-3121XP Standard
The gloves adhere to the EN388-3121XP mechanical resistance protection standard, encompassing:
- 3: Abrasion resistance (range 0-4)
- 1: Cut resistance (range 0-5)
- 2: Tear resistance (range 0-4)

Excellent gloves, like all from Mechanix. The size is perfect, they are comfortable, fit great, made of good quality materials and finished with care. Using them is pure pleasure.
-
The appearance and quality are 10/10, protection against cold is 9/10. Unfortunately, the gloves are very stiff and changing magazines in them is not very comfortable – in terms of practicality I’d give them 3/10.
-
It’s a good choice when it comes to hand protection. A small minus for the attachment system – instead of small red loops, they could have added a D ring or something for a carabiner. I rate it at 4.8/5. Mechanix is a reasonable choice at a good price.
-
The gloves are well-made, I have no complaints – they're comfortable, fit well, and are flexible. However, they look different than in the offer photo, maybe it's a different line. Because of that, only 4 stars.
-
Excellent gloves like all Mechanix. This model has rubber inserts on the top, which absorb impacts well. I use them for airsoft and despite being hit, my hands haven’t suffered.
-
Excellent gloves!
-
They look durable and fit the hand well.
-
Tested in practice, the price matches the quality and they are very sturdy.
-
Tested during outdoor use, the price matches the quality, and the product is solid.

The palm is made of artificial leather – quite thin, so it provides good feel yet seems durable. The back of the hand is breathable and doesn’t make you sweat. Despite the description, touch screen operation is possible with all fingers. Unfortunately, the seams at the fingertips are very noticeable inside – this significantly reduces precision and touch usability. You have to use your whole fingertips, so hitting small elements on the screen is difficult.

The palm is made of artificial leather, which is quite thin, ensuring good feel and likely durability. The back of the hand breathes well and does not retain moisture. Contrary to the description, all fingers can operate touch screens, but unfortunately, the seams at the tips are very noticeable – which affects touch sensitivity and makes using touchscreens difficult. You have to use the entire fingertip, so precise handling of small points on the screen becomes challenging.
-
Great gloves, I recommend them – I use them as a backup and they work perfectly.

Excellent gloves, I recommend them – I use them as spares and they work great.

Solid and comfortable gloves. I've lost count of how many pairs of Mechanix gloves I’ve had by now.
