They are very massive, most resembling gloves used in hockey. They provide solid protection against cuts and accidental punctures, but it should be remembered that such safety comes with increased thickness.
Mechanix Durahide Leather Needlestick Law Enforcement Anti-puncture Gloves - Black
Puncture-resistant gloves with high flexibility and durable construction. The padding is designed to protect hands from cuts and punctures, regardless of the angle of the blade.
Exterior made of leather, interior coated with a fiberglass layer
The outer side of the gloves is made of durable DuraHide natural leather, which provides high resistance during work. The inner gripping side is lined with a layer of fiberglass material (puncture-resistant), made with ArmorCore technology. The material covers the entire inside of the palm and fingertips, providing ASTM F2878 Level 2 needle puncture protection.
The grip side features textured reinforcement AX G-Series, which improves grip and grip confidence. In addition, the gloves have been reinforced with Kevlar threads, which increases their durability.
Short cuffs, touchscreen capability
The material allows you to operate touchscreens without removing the gloves. The short cuff with Velcro closure ensures a secure fit and does not restrict wrist mobility.
Important information
Before first use, the gloves should be subjected to a heat-molding process, which allows for a perfect fit to the user's hand. The optimal fit significantly improves feel and freedom of movement.
The gloves were designed for professional soldiers and operators of special units. They are also perfect for survival expeditions and ASG games.
Protective standard
The gloves meet the American protective standard ANSI/ISEA 105 at level 4A75 in terms of cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance, which means:
- 4: abrasion resistance (on a scale from 1 to 6)
- A7: cut resistance (on a scale from A1 to A9)
- 5: puncture resistance (on a scale from 0 to 5)
The gloves meet the protective standard EN388 at level 4X44F in terms of resistance to mechanical risks, which means:
- 4: abrasion resistance (on a scale of 0–4)
- X: cut resistance (on a scale of 0–5)
- 4: tear resistance (on a scale of 0–4)
- 4: puncture resistance (on a scale of 0–4)
- F: cut resistance – TDM test (ISO 13997) (on a scale of A–F)
The gloves meet the American test standard ASTM F2878 at level 2 for needle puncture resistance, which means:
- 2: needle puncture resistance (1–5)
In the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard, abrasion resistance is rated on a scale from 1 to 6 and refers to the number of cycles a material can withstand before wearing out. Cut resistance is classified on a scale from A1 to A9 (from the lowest to the highest level of protection). Puncture resistance is rated on a scale from 0 to 5 and indicates the force required to pierce the glove surface with a sharp probe (does not apply to needle punctures).
The scales specified in the EN388 standard indicate the level of glove protection: a value of 0 means no protection, while the highest values (4, 5) indicate the maximum level of resistance.
When testing with the TDM method (ISO 13997), letter markings are used, where A indicates the lowest level of protection and F the highest.
The ASTM F2878 standard defines a test method used to assess the resistance of protective materials to hypodermic needle puncture. Protection levels from 1 (basic resistance) to 5 (maximum level of protection) indicate the force, expressed in newtons, required for a needle to penetrate the glove material.
The X marking indicates that a given parameter was not tested or is not applicable.

Solid workmanship, you can feel that the product is premium. The gloves fit well, improve wearing comfort, and facilitate contact with objects during work. Time will tell how durable they are and whether they actually provide protection against punctures and cuts as declared by the manufacturer.
-
The product is average and, in my opinion, too expensive. I have tested many gloves of this type due to the specifics of my job, and these have really disappointed me. The workmanship is not at a high level. Despite a great promotional video, actual use does not live up to the advertisement. I think the product is overrated and definitely too expensive. I will also add that these gloves were made in the Philippines, and my older Mechanix gloves were made in the USA.

The gloves are solidly and carefully made, thick, and very durable. They are characterized by high resistance, and on top of that, they are extremely comfortable. I definitely recommend them – I am truly impressed!
-
Gloves of very good quality. The only downside for me is that they are quite stiff, which makes it hard to fully straighten my thumb; they are also a bit thick, probably due to the leather used and additional reinforcements. Maybe they'll break in a bit more over time. Nevertheless, I fully recommend them and will definitely buy again!

I chose them due to the specifics of my job. I was delighted with the M-PACT 3 model, which worked perfectly and didn't limit hand movement. Unfortunately, this model disappointed me because it makes it difficult to perform precise tasks. The appearance I rate 10/10, craftsmanship 9/10 (my pair is sewn unevenly and has threads sticking out, which is unacceptable at this price range), comfort 5/10, and durability 10/10. Would I recommend them? That depends on the purpose. The price, in my opinion, is too high, and the product is a bit overrated.

I bought them because of the nature of my job. I was impressed by the M-PACT 3 model, which fit perfectly and didn’t restrict hand movement. Unfortunately, this model was disappointing because it doesn’t allow for precise movements. The appearance is 10/10, build quality 9/10 (my pair is poorly stitched with threads sticking out, which is unacceptable at this class and price point), comfort 5/10, durability 10/10. Do I recommend it? It depends on the use. In my opinion, the price is too high and the product is a bit overrated.

I had the opportunity to try these gloves and they made a very good impression on me, although they are quite expensive – but quality always has its price.

I had a chance to try them and they made a great impression on me, although I think they are quite expensive. However, you have to pay for good quality.
