Magnum Tajga 45 l Backpack - Ermine

Spacious backpack designed for multi-day trips. The main compartment accommodates essential gear and includes a large hydration bladder pocket with a hose outlet.

Laptop pocket, organizer, two-way zippers

The front pocket features an organizer with dedicated compartments for documents, a notebook, smartphone, and writing tools. An included keyper allows you to securely attach your keys for quick access. On the opposite side, there's a zippered pocket that fits a laptop with a screen size of up to 15 inches.

The backpack is closed with bold, two-way SBS zippers. The main compartment zipper features a protective flap that shields it from dirt.

MOLLE trouser system

MOLLE webbing is sewn on the front and sides of the backpack, allowing for attachment of additional gear or external pouches – particularly useful when internal space is limited or quick access is needed.

Comfortable carrying system with hip belt

Comfort is ensured by an ergonomic carrying system with reinforced, contoured back padding and ventilation channels. Adjustable shoulder straps and a waist belt with a fastex buckle provide stability even with a heavy load. Additional reflective elements on the straps increase visibility after dark and in busy areas.

Compression straps

Compression straps on the bottom and sides let you adjust the volume according to the contents. This feature helps better fit the backpack to the user’s silhouette and maintain its shape even when partially filled.

At first it was great, but after just a few months (about 2-3), problems started to appear. The zippers, which at first worked too easily (so much so that the backpack could open by itself), started to stick after a short period. As for capacity... The backpack looks huge from the outside, but there’s very little space inside. The design is completely unthoughtful. The compression straps are sewn in permanently, so you can't adjust them, which makes you lose about 10 liters of capacity. The backpack itself feels like it narrows towards the bottom, resembling the letter V. The carrying system itself is amazing, comparable only to Wisport, although that's a completely different price range. Super comfortable, soft shoulder straps and a padded hip belt, but unfortunately it doesn't matter if the rest of the backpack is poorly designed :/ The look in real life isn’t great, either. As I read in another review: "I look like I took a schoolbag from a kid"—and it’s true, I have to agree. I definitely wouldn’t choose to buy it again. In the same price range, I preferred the Brandit Cooper or something like that. It also fell apart after a few years, but for such a low price at least it was comfortable and had real capacity; it lasted about 5 years. (I don’t recommend the cheap alternative, the Mil-Tec Assault. It’s a waste of money—it falls apart fast.)

I'll start with the advantages: the backpack is solidly made and carefully finished – I didn't notice any defects in my unit. It fits well, is comfortable to wear, and is equipped with two compartments. The molle system allows easy attachment of additional gear and works really well. Considering the price, around 200 PLN, it's a very successful purchase and I can confidently recommend it. However… there are some reservations. Before buying, it's worth considering what purposes it will serve. I chose it mainly because of its interesting (in my opinion) design, ergonomic structure, and capacity. I rate the first two aspects very highly, but unfortunately, the actual capacity is lower than what the manufacturer claims. I switched from a “50” backpack and thought that a difference of 5 liters wouldn't be noticeable, but it turns out the difference is huge – mainly because this model actually holds a maximum of 35 liters, and that's really pushing it. When I put it on for the first time, I felt like I had taken an elementary school kid's backpack. In the end, I'll keep it as an urban backpack for work or small shopping trips. If someone cares about a real capacity of 45 liters, this backpack won't work. Overall, the product is decent, but the volume is a big disappointment.

An excellent backpack at an affordable price, but unfortunately the zippers are very weak. It's a great option for everyday use at work, university, or a quick trip to the city, but the zippers are too loose and sometimes the backpack opens by itself, especially when both sliders are at the top. Apart from this flaw, everything works great. I have experience with many budget backpacks up to 200 PLN and compared to other "tactical" models (like the Mil-Tec Assault Pack 36L or Brandit Cooper 40L), the Magnum Tajga is a good choice: it has fewer unnecessary pockets, is lighter, and offers more capacity with the same dimensions. The organizer in the second compartment is perfectly sufficient, and the hip belt is more comfortable than on the Mil-Tec. The only additional downside (besides the zippers) is that it doesn’t open "like a suitcase," as some competitors' models do. The regular price of 300 PLN is definitely too high, but at up to 200 PLN I can confidently recommend this backpack. Of all three "tactical" backpacks in this price range, the Magnum Tajga is the best, followed by the Brandit Cooper and lastly the Mil-Tec Assault Pack. It's still not a perfect product—there are maybe less attractive but better-made backpacks for similar money. If someone's after the "tactical" look, it's better to pay extra for a Helikon or even more for a Wisport. I have the Wisport Reindeer 75L model and can honestly say that if you use your backpack not only in everyday life but also for urbex, hiking, bushcraft, etc., it’s worth the investment—they’re lightweight, durable, and comfortable to carry, even with a heavy load.

Hello to all interested buyers. 1) Controversial backpack dimensions. It is unclear where the information about the declared capacity of this backpack comes from – the values provided by the manufacturer seem to be exaggerated. Analyzing various forums and reviews (Polish, Russian, Czech), it is clear that the backpack has different dimensions than those given, and they can differ by up to 2 cm depending on the individual item. Mine has main compartment dimensions: Capacity: 22 liters. Height: 47 cm. Width: 28 cm. Depth: 17 cm. Additionally, there is a second compartment of about 2.5 liters, with the same height and width, but a depth of about 1.5–2 cm. 2) Build quality. The backpack is solidly made with attention to detail, and the YKK zippers are durable and sturdy – it looks like it will last a long time, but time will tell. 3) MOLLE system The backpack has an extensive MOLLE system, which is visible in the photos and allows customization and expansion according to individual needs.

The backpack is great – it works well both in the city, as a sports or work backpack, and for short summer trips outside the city. So far it has performed well. At this price, the quality is really good.

I was looking to find a Good Quality Rugged Tactical Bag that has a simple build, has enough space for stuff, but without so many separate compartments with each one needing a zipper to get to my stuff, and without having to pay a fortune for it. Found It! This MAGNUM Bag in Tan I bought complies with all the standards I was hoping to find. Those hoping to get a Backpack to take into Combat might not be satisfied with this example, but for the price its Excellent! A Good Buy. Again at Military.eu

I don't know why, but the side straps do not allow you to fully use the capacity of the backpack, because they are permanently sewn on and have no adjustment. Nevertheless, I consider the simple appearance a plus.

Great backpack whose capacity often seems to exceed other models of the same volume. This is mainly thanks to practical pockets with additional compartments inside, which make it easy to quickly find small items in the 45-liter backpack. On the outside, at the front and sides, there is a functional set of loops and compression straps that allow you to attach larger items and free up space inside. I definitely recommend it.

I am evaluating the capacity of this backpack from a photographer's perspective. If you plan to take a larger camera or camcorder and fit it into a case up to 36x30x16 cm (e.g., a case for Nikon Coolpix P1100) or even up to 46 cm in length, this will be a suitable choice. In my case, a box with a height of 20 cm fits perfectly, and at 36 cm width, you have to squeeze it in a bit. It's worth equipping the backpack with additional pouches—I have quite a few from other gear, like from a tactical vest. I also added a side dump pouch for a tripod (folded max 60 cm), as well as a deep side pouch for a bottle. I added a small pouch for small items and a larger one at the bottom for a pouch with filters and other accessories. Regarding the inside of the backpack—I have one reservation about the thinnest pocket, as it's not very useful; I only put a camera tarp, foldable tray, pen, and notebook in there. I recommend this backpack if you really need to carry a lot in the field but don't need a huge model. For larger accessories (big lenses, tripods) it may already be too small. I was able to fit a full pack of water and other things in the main compartment when shopping. It is very spacious and I recommend it as part of an emergency backpack set if you have several people. It is solid and worth having.

Very good quality backpack, solidly made and great for anglers. I can easily fit two telescopic rods, one folding spinning rod, and plenty of other gear. The zippers are strong. Carrying the backpack is comfortable, and for 200 PLN the workmanship is really top-notch. I fully recommend it both for trips and for everyday use in the city if you need a lot of space. The product is worth recommending, it is of high quality.

Unfortunately, I had to exchange the backpack for a bigger one. I'm waiting to see how things turn out. This one turned out to be smaller than I expected and smaller than the one I'm currently using, but I already have my eye on the 55L model. It's much more expensive, but it's the backpack of my dreams. My opinion is based on my need for side pockets and greater capacity, because I also go to the gym, take a laptop and power bank, and a backpack under 45L is out of the question – that's exactly what I have, although it does have side pockets, you can't fit shoes in it. I'm still looking for the perfect one, and this one will definitely be it. For people choosing a backpack – I recommend paying attention to the material: nylon is more durable than polyester, both in terms of abrasion and load.

Looking for a backpack with a capacity of about 40 liters and durable for heavy loads, this one fully met my expectations – solid, waterproof material, strong zippers, you can pack clothes and canned food. I've been traveling to the forests of Borne Sulinowo for nearly 30 years and can recommend it to everyone; I'll probably buy another one for my wife. Survival is survival.

This backpack is much better than my previous model from Mil-Tec, it has two very large compartments, one with an organizer for smaller items like a notebook or multitool. The compression straps in the middle are very practical – one can be shortened and the other extended as needed. The only downside is the side MOLLE straps, which are too narrow, so it's hard to thread through the straps of an extra pocket – you have to use, for example, a multitool to help. Despite this, the backpack is definitely worth the price.

The backpack is very well made, and during several hours of marching you can hardly feel its weight. I usually carry about 6 kg of gear in it, and with my petite build it doesn't cause any problems.

This is the second backpack of this model that I've bought. I think it stands out with a great quality-to-price ratio. The backpack is very spacious, and if you carry few things, you can conveniently compress it. It's not unwieldy, and in terms of capacity it definitely wins, especially considering the price.
