MultiCam is a contemporary camouflage pattern created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. Its mission was to create a universal camouflage pattern effective in diverse terrain and changing environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colors forming gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows it to dynamically adapt to the surroundings, adopting shades of green in woodland areas or brown and beige in desert regions — particularly effective in Central and Eastern Europe during autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained recognition worldwide and is used by numerous military forces and special units. In 2010, the camouflage was officially approved by the U.S. Army as the camouflage pattern for soldiers operating in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). This pattern is also available to civilians, making it a popular choice among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
