M-Tac Level 7 PrimaLoft Pants - MM14
Insulated pants made of durable nylon, coated with Water Repellent waterproofing. Equipped with a windproof lining, PrimaLoft synthetic fill of 100 g/m2 and YKK brand zippers. This model is the 7th layer in the ECWCS system and is designed to be worn as an outer protective layer, layered over either thermal clothing or other pants.
Waterproofing nylon and windproof lining
The outer layer and lining are crafted from abrasion-resistant nylon, offering effective protection against wind and moisture. This material is easy to maintain and clean, making it suitable for a range of conditions. The exterior fabric is treated with Water Repellent (DWR) waterproofing, enhancing its water resistance.
Areas prone to wear, like the knees and lower legs, are reinforced with a denser nylon weave, making them more resistant to abrasion.
PrimaLoft insulation with a grammage of 100 g/m2
The interior of the pants is insulated with a 100 g/m2 synthetic PrimaLoft layer, which provides adequate thermal comfort even in wet conditions. The insulation retains its thermal insulation properties even when wet, offering warmth in harsh, cold conditions. The filling is characterized by elasticity and lightness, which makes the pants effectively protect against the cold without any additional burden, while providing comfortable wear.
Long zippers, belt, webbing, belt loops and suspender tabs
There are zippers along the entire length of the legs, which make it easy to quickly put on and take off the pants, and also allow access to the pockets of clothes worn underneath. The main zipper has been protected by a Velcro strip, which prevents it from jamming, caused, for example, by dust or caked snow.
An integrated Velcro strap allows the pants to be precisely adjusted to the figure. At the bottom of the legs there are adjustable Velcro straps, which allow you to adjust their width. The model is also equipped with belt loops and tabs for attaching harnesses.
MM14 camouflage
The designation MM-14 stands for Маскувальний Малюнок (maskuvalʹnyy malyunok, which means camouflage pattern) and the year 2014, marking the official introduction of this camouflage. Drawing inspiration from the American UCP camouflage, the shades were selected to align with the natural hues found throughout Ukrainian landscapes. Implementing the MM-14 camouflage represented a significant step in reforming the Ukrainian army, aiming to move away from post-Soviet influences. It is also informally referred to as Ukrainian Pixel Camo and Ukrainian Digital Camo.
